The OP tells the tale of his ex-wife's final act of retribution that saw him embroiled in legal troubles and tangled with a Home Owner's Association.
His wife had been cheating on him for some time, all revealed through "trickle truths" and led to a highly messy divorce with complicated legal proceedings and lawsuits. The final straw came when his ex signed him up to a Home Owner's Association that he had no interest in being a part of.
Of all the things you could possibly do, this has got to be the most sinister. Being grandfathered into an HOA exemption is a beautiful thing indeed. Taking that away from someone is worse than taking the dog or custody of the children.
