What is this terrible stepmother up to every Monday that is so important but that her husband can know nothing about? She'd better be hand-carving him a canoe at a woodworking shop or something.
Commenters seem to think that it's far more likely that she is cheating or doing something else nefarious along those lines but I'm going to stick with my optimistic canoe theory. There's already far too much cynicism in the world.
I really hope that her husband enjoys his canoe. Shame on her sister for refusing to help out and ruining the surprise.
Kudos to this sister for standing up for herself when confronted by her insane family. Same vibes as the girl who refused to watch her entitled younger brother.
