Irate Contractor Feels Unreasonably Duped By Freight Price After Declining Estimate

OP works in wholesale distribution of building materials and deals regularly with stressed contractors eager to finish their current jobs and cash in. One such stressed contractor recently reached out to him in a midst of a high pressure high pay job requesting an immediate shipment of some obscure building pieces that luckily, OP had in stock. After declining a price estimate, said contractor is shocked when the financial damage of the overnight shipping is revealed to him a week later. Which begs the question, why not take the extra thirty seconds and ask for a price estimate? Beats us, all we know is that this guy could use a chill pill and ASAP as in get it to him yesterday as in we don't care how much it costs to ship. We thoroughly enjoyed reading OP's recount of politely putting this unreasonably irate contractor in his place.
