It's pretty common for involved dads to not be treated with the respect they deserve for taking care of their kids, to the point that they get called "babysitters" rather than full-on parents. Naturally, being treated condescendingly as a parent provokes its own kind of animosity. When this guy's kid's teacher demanded to speak to her mom, he thought, "fine."
