There's an impressive amount of cringe packed into this short video. It's definitely not rare for artists to lean on their own recordings for the live performances, but they're also generally able to rely on their sound team to not totally mess everything up. In this case though, Ashlee Simpson wasn't so lucky. Meanwhile, the band was more than ready to put on their own performance when it became clear that Ashlee Simpson was dipping out of the scene.
