Nothing can quite sink the spirits like reckoning with the realization that you've had a couple wildly rude, genuinely insensitive human beings move into your otherwise peaceful apartment complex. It sounds like these neighbors just loved to stir up trouble. And then when they were rightfully called out for their antics, they just made it about them. Hopefully the fine that they ended up receiving was enough of a wakeup call for them to change their ways.
