There are plenty of parents in this world that end up having to deal with terribly stubborn and ridiculously entitled children. However, every now and again there's a situation where the kid ends up genuinely financially struggling no matter how hard they've been trying to dig themselves out of the hole. The daughter in this scenario sounds like she wasn't in the wrong in the slightest, and if anything, the dad could've handled the situation with far more grace and understanding than he offered.
