Someone on AskReddit asked for coders to share the various ways they've gone about turning down the big, million dollar ideas from enthused individuals that can get deluded by their own blinding excitement. Sometimes it's a process of poking holes in the plans, while other times it can work to just take the idea completely seriously, and then watch the "ideas person" slowly melt into the realization that there will be work required of them, in the process of bringing the idea to reality as well.
