We get it. Filmmakers use unrealistic storytelling methods in order to convey the most amount of information to the viewer in as efficient a way as possible. It would be boring to watch Joe Pesci try to find parking for twenty minutes. That doesn't mean that some of these shortcuts go unnoticed, like how this tumblr thread uncovers the very limited types of movie posters.
