Mom had every right to be freaked out about a strange "spot" that appeared on the roof of her daughter's mouth. It looks all kinds of messed up. Panic mode was inevitable.
That being said, when things calmed down and further observation was taken, she learned that this sketchy "spot" was in fact a little piece of cardboard eaten up by her devious child. Phew, but damn that could've been a whole lot worse. A whole lot worse if the kid ate the cardboard, or if it was in fact an unexplained spot.
