This boss clearly got what she deserved. After overhearing a conversation in which a woman told her co-worker about her two-year-old's slow speech development, her boss joined in and said that the woman's daughter is "probably just stupid." Later, the woman heard her boss continue to make fun of her "mute" daughter to another co-worker, even using the R word.
Yikes. It's like she was trying to get fired, right? Either that or she's actually a trash human being. Honestly, she's probably both of those things. The mother shared her story via this thread on Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit. She reported her supervisor to HR and now that the investigation is underway, her boss's supervisor has been complaining about how short-handed they are at work and how doomed they will be if her boss gets fired.
A note to the Redditor: do not feel guilty. Not even for a second. This was your boss's fourth write-up to HR. It takes more effort to mess up that much than it takes to get to the end of Avengers: Endgame. If she can't get it together, she shouldn't have this job. Pure and simple.
We've seen plenty of instances where horrible bosses crossed a line. This boss was so behind on paying his employees that he owed them more than $12K. Keep scrolling for u/AITA-hrreport's original post!
