Let's All Have a Moment of Silence for This Lost Chicken Dinner

chicken social media sadness Let's All Have a Moment of Silence for This Lost Chicken Dinner

The people of Cheltenham, England were devastated by tragedy in the night. The extent of the fallout from this incident is as yet unknown.  First reported by The Gloucestershire Echo, this sad, entire chicken dinner was found strewn about the pavement early Thursday morning.

Residents have been reacting on social media, most with compassion, some with outrage over the lack of coverage by 'mainstream' media outlets.

Here's hoping the Cheltenham community is able to recover quickly from this incident. Someone will probably start a GoFundMe campaign for it if they haven't already.

One of the Game of Thrones Writers Re-Watched the Red Wedding and Live-Tweeted the Whole Thing

twitter,Game of Thrones

Bryan Cogman is a writer on the HBO show, Game of Thrones. He read the books, wrote for the series, watched the show when it originally aired, and still had a hard time getting through The Red Wedding scene the second time around. Which is understandable because it's not really something any GOT fan wants to go through again. But Bryan did it, just for us. And he live-tweeted the whole episode. Here are the highlights.

A High School Baseball Coach Let His Team Name His New Baby

A high school baseball coach promised his team that if they won 14 games in a row, they could name his baby. They were not doing well this season so he must have thought it was a long shot. Well, they did it and they want to name him Benjamin Smalls, after two characters from The Sandlot.

This video was made just before they won that 14th game:

It seems like mom still has some veto power but they'll be pretty disappointed if she chooses something else now. In fact, apparently David Evans, the writer of The Sandlot dropped by to wish them well.

Mario Wolfs Down a Magic Mushroom, and Puts on a Massive Display at a Grocery Store

They grow 'em big out in Missoula, Montana--literally. The smalltime organic local grocer, Orange Street Food Farm is displaying a bewitching, window-length installation of Toadstool, Luigi, and Mario that consists of 12-pack soda bottles.

The store's weekend manager disclosed to the press that the whole operation's the ingenious brainchild of a Coca Cola Sales rep (a raise probably fast approaches on the horizon). Here's a closer look at the 12-foot high display:
