Dude Trolls Scammer, Leads Them On for Three Days

For most of us, it's pretty easy to spot a scammer. Basically if any stranger offers you anything for any reason at all, you can pretty safely assume that that person's gonna try to get you to buy a bunch of gift cards or eventually ask for your social security number. Most of us just ignore these messages or delete them. But some of us see them as a beautiful opportunity for real-life improv. And not just that, but when you take time away from a scammer with stories about your fake dead grandpa and that thing on your foot, you are effectively taking their time away from potentially contacting someone they can actually fleece. It's just a good time to be had all around.

Bless you, people who troll scammers. You're doing the lord's work.

For more things like this, here are some stupid times scammers were their own worst enemies.

Boyfriend Claims Nepotism, Wants Girlfriend to Quit Job So He Can Control Her, Wonders if He's Wrong

This boyfriend attempted to get his girlfriend to quit her job. See, she has been working for the same company that her father works for. The boyfriend thinks that she shouldn't be working with her family because "She shouldn't be relying on her family to get jobs" as "it's a bit weird." This, of course, has caused strife in the couple's relationship. Judging by the end of this guy's post it's pretty clear that she's likely more of an ex-girlfriend at this point.

For some reason, this guy is absolutely obsessed with getting his girlfriend to change jobs. In his since-deleted post, which reeks of a desire for control, he has reached for just about every thinly-veiled argument he could have possibly dreamt up for why she should leave her job.

The initial thread was posted to Reddit's r/AITA (Am I the A-Hole) by the since-deleted account, where the poster was lambasted by commenters who had a lot to say about the controlling nature of his post.

Before the original thread was deleted screenshots were posted to r/antiwork by Redditor u/lovingdestroyer who shared the screenshots in a thread titled "Anti-union guy can't believe his woman partner is qualified for her job."

This thread has also been getting bombarded on the worker's rights subreddit, with commenters pointing out the misogyny and concerning nature of the author's comments.

Scroll on to see screenshots of the two threads and the reactions below.

Manager of Sweltering Office Bans Shorts to "Not See Hairy Man Legs," Employee Shaves Legs

Isn't it nice to come up with graceful solutions that make everyone happy? This person's idiot boss demanded that no one should be allowed to wear shorts in their sweltering office, instead opting for everyone to let their pants become aquafers. This employee noticed that their boss's only reason cited for this rule was that they did not want to see hairy man legs, so they did the reasonable thing and made sure their boss didn't have to see any of that unsightly man hair.

It feels like if you were a manager, your first goal should be that your employees are comfortable enough to actually get their work done. In this case, it looks like it was done for them.

For another story of a moronic dress code played out to it's illogical conclusion, here's the time an absurd dress code made it so that an IT worker literally couldn't do their job anymore.

Women Share Things They Find Most Confusing About Men

Everybody is different, so it's inaccurate to make generalizations about entire swaths of people. That said, there are some extremely common observations women tend to have about the men they know. Things such as "why is it that he can build a table but still doesn't know how to load the dishwasher correctly" or "why is his skin still nice despite using a dead rat as a loofah?"

Human beings are complex creatures. And even though men are often described as the simple, one-track minded ones, that doesn't make them boring. Just because you've seen a dude stare at a rock for 20 minutes without blinking doesn't mean he's without a rich inner life. He could be thinking about what to do with that big rock. Maybe the rock looks kind of like a toilet or something. See? Everyone has their rich and valid reasons.

For some more junk like this, here are 23 women who shared things that men did that creeped them out without realizing it.

This Guy Inexplicably Wakes His Wife Up to Ask Her the Time, People Are Perplexed

Life often presents us with great difficulties that seek to try out every measure of wit. Checking the time on a digital clock is not one of these things. The digital clock has removed all effort and skill required to tell the time, and even that was taught at a first-grade level.

Inexplicably, this guy is absolutely unwilling and unable to lift his phone in the middle of the night, press the button to turn it on, and then scan his eyes across the screen to tell the time. He would rather wake his wife up from her beauty sleep to ask her the time.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AITA (Am I the A-Hole) subreddit by the wife, who is tired of being woken up by her husband every night to tell her oversized toddler what the time is.

The internet is confused, we're confused, and you're probably confused too. But it's pretty clear who the a-hole is here.
