21 Creative Fails To Make Up For The Lack Of Serotonin

Some of the most creative things we'll ever come to find are on the internet. Reddit is literally one of the most entertaining sites on the web, and never fails to bring us some of the funniest content. And now, finally, the weekend has descended upon us, and we can take a chill pill. It was a ridiculously long week at work, and all we want to do is sit ourselves down on the couch and not move, preferably ever again. Maybe flick through the different channels on TV, order some Chinese takeout (or Pizza) and go to sleep early. Bonus points if we're lucky enough to have a dog's companionship.

While scrolling through r/funny, we happened across some hilarious fails (or maybe wins? Depending on how you look at it) and decided to share our findings with you. Check it out down below. Plus, if you want even more of a good laugh, feel free to click here for some hilarious memes.

20 Memes for the haters and their motivators

You're always going to be the villain in someone's story. It's impossible to go through life and not gain a few haters along the way. People will see you doing well and get jealous. Or, you might annoy someone and they just decide they don't care for you anymore. Life is funny like that. Check out this fine collection of memes about and for the haters, who remain our motivators!

Top 20+ 'Screw You' Gifts for Passive Aggressive Gift Givers Everywhere

We've all given and received at least one horrible Holiday gift, but what are the worst ones? If you scroll below to see what people had to say in the comments section of this r/AskReddit thread, you may be shocked to see what some people have been gifted. Highlights include the following: (1) Punishing parents of young children by getting their kids gifts that make substantial amounts of noise; (2) wildly outdated things like Axe Body Spray or a Blockbuster gift card; (3) straight-up regifting what you were given last year (raise your hand if you've done that in the past). Regardless of whether or not you have given or received a gift like this, this just goes to show that Holiday gifts are not only an opportunity to be thoughtful and kind, but they are also an opportunity to be petty and passive-aggressive. The irony of that duality is something so special and so specific it could only occur on Christmas day. For more, check out these top 20 Karens of the year.

Professor says research paper isn't long enough, so student gets one published to a history journal

There are times in our lives when we face the challenge of someone who holds authority over us. This challenge may not be totally fair — or even sensical — but it necessitates a response all the same. We then have a choice at that point, do we rise to the challenge? Or find another path?

This student decided to rise to their professor's challenge when they were told that their paper wasn't long enough, despite being within the required length range. When the time for the next paper rolled around, the student put in a ton of extra work in order to craft a 29-page essay. This essay was so comprehensive that it earned them top marks from the teacher, who then suggested that they submit it to a research journal.

The student clearly thinks they have executed glorious malicious compliance here. But have they really achieved malicious compliance if it was the teacher's intention all along to get them to rise to the challenge?

‘Don’t You Dare Press Charges, And Stop Documenting My Daughter's Behavior’ : Crazy Landlady Freaks After Video Footage of Her 45 Year Old Daughter Vandalizing Tenants Property Surfaces

Every year, the amount we pay for rent, food, and other necessities just keeps getting higher. We really don't need any additional craziness added to the already bubbling mix of bizarre crap we endure on a daily basis. But alas, there will always be someone out there who will be determined to make our lives harder. Sometimes, if not often, it's our landlord/lady. This particular story is giving out a bad vibe. You know how in horror movies, you see the main character doing stupid crap they shouldn't be doing? Ahem, for example:

At midnight (duh), the lights begin to flicker… They make a bunch of confused faces, that amplify when the noises begin. Screeeeeech… it comes from the basement (of course). They hurry to get a flashlight, because it is somehow more visually appealing than a smartphone, and begin the dreary way down the creaky steps, shining the light down below where you may or may not see some unclear creature of sorts bolt in front of the camera.

All the while you're thinking, 'WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? GTFO!'. Then they d**, the end. So that's the feeling we got when reading this post on r/AITA. It gets real wacky, real fast. Yo, if our landlady's grown-up kid was in our bedroom and began destroying our property in (frankly) really weird ways, we'd be out of there way before anyone could convince us otherwise.

Accidentally profound: 20 Wise philosophical quotes that actually come from the silliest sources

You never know when a TV show or movie will create an absolute banger of a quote. There are plenty of great examples, of course. But one Twitter user had an intriguing thought, writing, '"I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know
I'll never see" being from a Star Wars show is like "I will face God and walk backwards into Hell" being a dril quote'. The tweet has gained popularity as people submit their own favorite serious quotes that actually come from silly sources. While a few people submitted other dril tweets as their faves, others cited "Batman" and even "Spy Kids 2" as sources of brilliant inspirations!

After you gain enlightenment from the "Spy Kids 2" quote, check out these 35 oddball Christmas trees made from the most random items imaginable.

'When it came time for gifts I got everyone something but her': Woman gets petty revenge on partner's entitled mother by not getting her a Christmas gift

Whatever happened to "you get what you get and you don't get upset?" This woman's potentially future mother-in-law was incredibly rude after the past two Christmas gift exchanges. What was she expecting this time around?

This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/TrueOffMyChest subreddit, should hopefully speak to those of you on this Christmas day who have to deal with ungrateful family members, rude tantrums, and the kind of passive-aggressive behavior that can accompany Holiday gatherings. We salute you all for just trying to stay above the fray, and we can live vicariously through this Redditor, who decided that enough was enough. If this mother seriously thought the past two gifts were "some tacky little trinkets bought from Target" when they were actually very thoughtful attempts at getting in her good graces, then Monster-in-Law has truly forfeited her right to a decent gift. We hope that none of you have had to deal with BS like this during your gift exchanges. Keep scrolling below for the original post and the best comments, and feel free to share what Christmas-related drama you've been dealing with this year!
