'You want me to open the door? I'll open it': Thief tries to steal beer from convenience store, cue malicious compliance

Nothing like doing exactly what someone tells you to do and having it backfire!

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/Ancient_Educator_76, who should honestly go into short story writing after this brief but entertaining tale of getting back at a would-be thief at the Arizona convenience store where the Redditor worked. It turns out that the button under the counter which automatically locks the front doors actually came to good use at the end of the day.

We love when an ordinary day at work turns into an action-packed sequence where the little guy becomes victorious in the end. It's usually the stuff of fiction, yet this allegedly happened. The original poster also gets extra points for clever references to I Am Legend. For more stories of malicious compliance, take a look at this tale involving a trucking company firing its clients. 'They got into a shouting match': Neighbor blocks sidewalk with SUV and tells other neighbor to report them if they don't like it... The predictable happens

Maybe, just maybe, if you're breaking a rule (or law) and you get into a dispute with someone over you breaking said rule/law… Maybe, it would be best not to dare that person to report you to whatever authority holds jurisdiction over said thing? Just saying… because we keep seeing stories like this and I just don't know what outcome these people are expecting in these circumstances.

'I tell him that it's not really his business but we are sisters': Horrible dad mistakes waitress for his son's teacher and shames her

This is definitely not the kind of thing you want to deal with on your break.

This woman, who works at a Hooters-esque establishment, was shamed during her "vape break" by the parent of one of her identical sister's students. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/Confident_Bug459, who went on to say that she tried to explain how she and her sister are two different people. The father, of course, did not believe her and continued to shame the waitress for working with children and working at a restaurant like this.

This is where the original poster stood up for herself and cussed this guy out. In case you couldn't tell, we're definitely on her side here. After a long day at work dealing with the customers she has to serve, this woman did not have to also deal with a man like this. We agree with certain Redditors in the comments section who are suggesting that the sister should get ahead of this and contact her boss directly before the dad reports this to the school, which we all know he will. Keep scrolling below for more of those comments!

'I do not do OF, nor have I ever done OF': Waitress recounts terrible treatment from group of teen terrors

There's nothing that makes you feel so entirely helpless as being bullied by children. It's this weird catch-22 where you both are unable to retaliate but are rendered completely vulnerable by their cutting words. Kids know exactly what to say to cut you down, and their frank honesty can leave you with no retort or means for retaining your pride.

This is even worse when you're in a customer service role. Being bullied by anyone in a customer service role feels like crap, but when it's kids doing it, you still have to keep wearing that customer service smile for fear of summoning their equally ill-behaved parents on yourself.

When Reddit user u/BothCheeks729 found herself being targeted by a gaggle of ill-mannered and vengeful teenagers she found herself embroiled in a saga of drama and lies that reads like it's straight out of a high school television show. When she attempted to handle the situation by mentioning the problem to an adult in the girls' circle, the girls turned to spreading rumors about her and told her manager that she had an 'Only Fans' account.
