I Thought the Wedding Was Casual!

Awkward Moment of the Day: Jim Carrey Asks Where NBC is Hiding Brian Williams at ‘SNL 40′

Matt Lauer probably wishes he could "misremember" this moment from the 40th Anniversary of SNL on Sunday.

During his the red carpet portion of the night, Lauer and co-host Savannah Guthrie were having a quick, lighthearted chat with Jim Carrey and Tina Fey about their memories from the show.

Then things got awkward.

"Can I ask you a question, you guys?" Carrey asked. "Where are you hiding Brian Williams? Where is he?"

Williams was temporarily suspended this past week from hosting the "NBC Nightly News" after he was caught lying about being shot down in a helicopter during the Iraq war… among other things.

"I just want to say something in his defense," he added, while Fey silently stood next to him. "If the helicopter in front of me gets hit, I'm taking the story."

But Carey wasn't the only one to bring up the elephant in the room.

Jerry Seinfeld mocked the news anchor in his bit later on in the night.

"You know there are so many things about 'Saturday Night Live' that people don't know," he said. "Like for example, I just found out that one of the original cast members in 1975 was Brian Williams. I didn't — I don't know if that's true. But I never heard that. It doesn't sound true. It might not be, it might not be."

Weatherman of the Day: Jim Cantore Gets Really Excited About Thundersnow

Winter Storm Neptune gave New England quite a beating this weekend, piling even more snow on the area after what has been a pretty terrible month thus far.

One good thing to come out of it all: this video of The Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore freaking out about Thundersnow.

It’s basically just what it sounds like, thunder during a snowstorm. But here’s a more detailed explanation of the phenomenon from Weather.com:

Thunderstorms accompanied by snow are usually of a different character than the “normal” thunderstorm. The latter are usually rather tall, narrow storms containing a rising updraft of warm, moist air that has risen in a layer from near the surface that may go upward to 40,000 feet or more. Temperatures at the surface are usually well above freezing. Snowstorms, by contrast, are mostly associated with rather extensive layers of flat, relatively shallow cloud.

While covering the blizzard in Plymouth, Massachusetts early Sunday morning, Cantore got super excited with every clap of thunder.

“Yes! Yes! We got it baby!” he shouted while jumping around in the snow. “You can have your $500 million jackpot in Powerball or whatever the heck it was. But I’ll take this baby!”

And then this happened too.

Watch a little toddler get just as excited as he does, only from the comfort of her living room.

Compensating For Something?

Fail of the Day: Watch Jean-Claude Van Damme Troll Everyone

Funny or Die held a competition last year in which it asked viewers to create their own movie starring Jean-Claude Van Damme using some green screened footage of the actor.

One year later, Marca Blanca combined that footage with some of the best epic fails, and the result is pretty amazing.

Watch “Jean-Troll Van Damme” take out a jogger, a boy in a toy car and a number of other unfortunate souls.

You never know when he’s going to appear… be very afraid.
