'The audacity of some people is just insane': Entitled Karens flood the clientele of pet sitters and dog walkers, employees share their nightmarish stories

There are Karens no matter where you decide to work, but sometimes they flock to establishments more than others. For example, customer service gets the pleasure of constantly dealing with Karen tantrums. Also, jobs like pet sitting and dog walking surprisingly are filled to the brim with Karen customers. Apparently, according to pet sitters and dog walkers, the app Rover truly brings all the Karens into one place when looking for clientele. Many of these types of employees have flocked to Reddit to swap Karen clientele stories. Additionally, there are some Karens who try to pull some fast ones on unsuspecting people looking for pet sitting and/or walking too. So really, this line of business brings Karens together from every which way. Luckily, many of the dog walkers and pet sitters say that Rover has their backs when dealing with Karen clientele, because apparently, it happens a lot.

One trainer who also works through Rover for pet sitting and walking posted a conversation she had with a potential client on the app and it was just BURSTING with Karen energy. Others have left comments on the post sharing their own similar experiences.

'I tried to quit my job today and my boss told me no': Woman gives resignation and toxic boss blatantly ignores it, attempts lackluster counter-offer last minute but it's too late

Workplace culture might be changing with more woke millennials taking on managerial positions, but there are still completely toxic environments that make you want to quit immediately. For example, when you get a toxic boss who acts like a child and pretends you didn't just hand in your resignation later…

That is exactly what happened recently to one woman who posted about her experience on TikTok. She said she handed her boss her resignation letter and he took one look at it and simply said, "no." She was confused, because the way he said it portrayed no kind of a counter-offer, it just sounded like he was going to ignore the fact that she is quitting. The woman might have been confused, but that did not stop her from doing what she set out to do—especially since she already had a way better job lined up. So she carried on with her last two weeks, made sure all of her managers and coworkers knew that it was her last two weeks, and she would be gone by then. Eventually, in a last ditch effort, the manager gave her an extremely lackluster counter-offer, but this girl had already mentally checked out. She quickly declined and carried on with her two weeks and felt satisfied doing so. Her boss wouldn't even acknowledge her for those last two weeks, but she could care less.

'I was losing sleep and my mind': Noisy neighbors catch payback in the form of malicious compliance after years of gaslighting the resident next door

Dealing with noisy neighbors is the worst. There's always a risk of starting a superiority contest on who is more passive aggressive, who's louder, and who's more willing to lose sleep over a petty neighborhood battle. One man learned his lesson the hard way– After years of harassing his neighbor next door with booming music and surround sound movies at all hours of the night, she got payback.

u/living_the_dweam, a woman living in a duplex that shared a wall with the loud man, had endured several months of his booming music, which was competing with street noise, fans, and a lack of human decency. He would play tunes at all hours and refused to shut his doors or windows, meaning the sound poured directly into her home, disturbing her precious sleep.

Finally, after failed passive aggressive techniques and borderline begging, she brought him over so that they could test the equivalent noise coming from her apartment into his. In an attempt to keep his lifestyle unchanged, the loud man claimed that when her sound system was at its loudest, he heard nothing in his apartment.

But he didn't realize this woman was playing chess, not checkers.

After a few more agonizing months, she started to notice baby stuff arriving at his doorstep. Low and behold, 9 months later, he and his girlfriend welcomed a brand new baby into their home. The baby cried constantly, but the woman had the perfect way to drown out the noise– with her sound system.

She pulled and uno-reverse on her neighbor, playing her music as loud as she wanted. He claimed before that he couldn't hear it, but now was suddenly begging her to turn it down because he hadn't slept in months because of the baby. Now that it was his sleep in jeopardy, he seemed to have a change of heart when it came to acting neighborly and respectful about your noisiness.

The woman claims she'll adjust her sound settings soon… just as soon as her neighbor has learned his lesson with a taste of his own medicine.

20+ People who are so wrong, yet so confident about how incorrect they actually are

People on the internet have strong opinions! And they also aren't afraid to double down, even when they're completely wrong about the topic at hand.

There's a place for everyone on the internet — no matter what your interests are, you'll find others who are likeminded. However, that also leads to people getting stuck in feedback loops, or just being around people who are so closely aligned with their beliefs that they'll never admit when they're wrong. Then, when others outside of their circle insist they really, truly, are so wrong about something, they just don't believe it!

At least these people got called out for their faulty logic. Next up, this person had a workplace bully — so they reported him to HR.

'I reported him to HR and got him fired': Hardware tech accuses IT coworker of 'cheating the system'

This IT worker was tired of being insulted for no reason at all. In the story shared to r/pettyrevenge by u/Timely-Caterpillar88, the OP was working as a desktop tech, and often used the same ticketing system as their coworker. The coworker, "Jack," clearly thought that he was way smarter than the OP. From the way he talks down to the OP — and accuses the OP of things they didn't do. That's a serious misstep on Jack's part!

At least the OP did the right thing by bringing up the issue to HR. So many workplaces become incredibly toxic due to bullies like Jack. It hinders communication, and it makes it worse to stay at a company that may have other issues besides dealing with cranky coworkers. One commenter put it perfectly, saying, "I think you just debugged your department."

Next, this guy froze out his neighbor — all because the neighbor took this guy's hard-earned parking spot.

'AITA for posting a video of my girlfriend crashing her car?': Dude posts embarrassing video of GF and sells footage, friends and coworkers find the video

This guy has to know deep down that he's in the wrong here. People can tell themselves whatever story they want to hear, but seriously, in what universe could this guy be in the right? Selling footage of your girlfriend's car accident as "education material" for driving students without her consent is quite possibly the biggest red flag I've come across on the Internet in quite some time.

He shared his side of the story via this thread on Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit, and even with his heavily biased framing, the truth was pretty easy to detect. The guy was being an idiot and clearly thought this was funny, amusing content he could share around with zero consequences. Well, sir. You very well may have just lost your girlfriend. At the very least, this will always be a bump in the road of your relationship and one that certainly caused her to call her trust in you into question.

'We closed [three] hours ago': Server lets couple on first date stay late, learns the hard way that they're woefully entitlted

Every retail or service person has learned the hard way why you don't make exceptions for customers and guests. It's always the customer you think is level-headed, sane, and "gets it" who ends up being a woefully entitled complainer, review bomber, or exceptionalist. These people will go feral on you and make your life a verifiable living hell for a few weeks until they've done the damage they're seeking and disappear into the void of their miserable existence to ruin someone else's day.

The commenters have the right of it here: Never under any exceptions should you ever remain alone with a customer—especially when handling cash. They're a stranger, of whom you have no prior knowledge, and you should never underestimate what someone is capable of. There's a reason most organizations have firm rules about this; it's incredibly important for staff safety.

This server/manager shared their story of completely underestimating a couple by letting them stay late, thinking that they would be cool about it. Others took to the comment section to share stories of their own in the ensuing thread. Keep reading and for more, check out these hollandaise hating Karens who tried to dine and dash.

'The kids confessed to throwing the trash': Neighborhood kids enact trashy revenge on local Karen

Rule number one of living in any neighborhood: don't become the enemy of all the town children! If you are that enemy, rest assured those little minions will stop at nothing to enrage you. That's exactly what happened to this Karen and Kevin, who managed to piss off everyone in the neighborhood. Even these kids' parents weren't too upset with their sabotage.

Now, what was their sabotage, you ask? Well, according to the Redditor's post, the neighborhood got together and volunteered to pick up trash around town. These kids had dumped much of said trash right on Kevin's property. It should be noted that Karen was not present for this encounter because she was literally locked up at the time. Meanwhile, Kevin threw a fit, only to be reprimanded by the town's code enforcer for not having an up-to-code residence. Keep scrolling below to see how folks responded in the comments!
