Parenting Tweets For The Ones Out There Doing Their Best

The wild thing about parenting is that they just give you a baby to take home and you have to wing it from there. Every first attempt at parenting is still happening to a real live human being. A human being that you have to mold from the depths of being worse than an animal all the way up to becoming an upstanding and decent person. And it's a long road. Kids are pretty stupid, but they also have an incredible skill for learning your worst habits. So be prepared to have a mirror pushed up to your face as you inadvertently teach your kids everything you got wrong about life.

Every day as a parent could be the day that you create a serial killer or politician. The stakes are pretty high. And remember, if you parent wrong enough, your kid could end up working in internet culture media. So make sure they're good at math or something.

For some more funny tweets about parenting, here are some parenting memes for those whose lives are over.

Terrible Maid of Honor Drops Out of Friend's Wedding When Brother Reveals His Secret Love

This Maid of Honor decided to drop out of her best friend's wedding at the last minute after the Maid of Honor's brother revealed that he had been secretly in love with her friend for years. Her friend and her brother had had a fling six years prior, just before her friend had met her now-fiancé. The brother never got over being dumped by the friend and his revelation has caused his sister to betray her friend of twelve years.

This thread was posted to r/AITA (Am I the A--Hole) by the Maid of Honor who has dropped out of the wedding. She has posted the thread to gauge from readers whether or not she was in the wrong for dropping out of her friend's wedding on her brother's wishes.

Commenters have overwhelmingly voiced their distaste for her actions, calling her out for betraying her friend after allowing herself to be manipulated by her jealous brother.

Art History Memes To Pontificate Upon And Guffaw At Heartily

If there's one thing we know about art, it's that it took like, a thousand years for artists to figure out how to draw horses properly. Seriously, check out the crap medieval artists were throwing together. They look like they were drawn by dysentery-ridden, near-sighted mooks. And they probably were, but that's no excuse to draw horses that look like busses covered in legs.

Anyway, one of the fun things about classical art is that it did a pretty good job of conveying people's emotions at pivotal moments, and it just so happens that that kind of affectation makes pretty excellent memes. Throw in a few kronen-burg-esque depictions of hell, some extremely stupid haircuts that we're certain couldn't have been popular at the time, and you've got yourself a recipe for some extremely accurate, if also terrifically weird memes.

For more of it, here are art history memes for the highly cultured among us.

Graphic Designer Receives Scathing Email From Ex-Boss When She Quits on First Day After Being Told to Steal Art

Sometimes you miss glaringly obvious red flags during the interview process. Sometimes the interviewer is entirely dishonest about what you can expect to find in your new role. Then, once you start working, you are suddenly faced with the horrifying reality of what you just signed on for. The best thing to do at this point is to walk away and not fall into the losing game that is the "sunk cost fallacy." If you're getting that feeling in your stomach that early on then you will be doing everyone a favor by deciding to do so.

That's exactly what the graphic designer decided to do when she was lied to during the interview process. When she arrived on her first day she realized that the company actually had none of the high-profile clients they had bragged about and was informed that she would also be working for the business owner's "side-hustle" stealing small artist's work to place on t-shirts.

That's when the graphic artist, Redditor u/OminousAvocado, realized that she needed to walk away. Despite being lied to, she sent a very respectful email to her new boss telling him that she was resigning and his response "reaffirmed" all of her doubts and her decision to leave.

The internet has been overwhelmingly on her side and panning the boss for his unprofessional response.

u/OminousAvocado gave further clarification to the situation in a comment which we have included in item #2 the responses to that comments are items #3 and #4 and then the emails and the rest of the comments follow.
