Guy Loses It When His Date Orders, Then Eats, A Sizeable Salad

A woman received this message from her first date telling her that he thought they were incompatible because of the way she had eaten her salad during the date. Her date explained that the way she ate her salad was "greedy" and wasn't "ladylike."

Screenshots of the text exchange were posted to Reddit's r/mildlyinfuriating subreddit by Redditor u/Ryanfunroe. It's pretty safe to say that these text messages are not their original content and have been reposted by the user, but we were unable to verify this.

It's incredible, the arbitrary rules that we have somehow managed to create for first dates. What's wrong with just being yourself and seeing if things work out? Why have we invented all of these insane hoops to jump through? I mean, sure, it's important to make sure you put your best foot forward for any first impression. Still, we tend to make things like this so needlessly complicated, especially when it comes to dating.

Readers expressed their resentment toward the date's attitude in the comments.

"God forbid you eat like a normal person and require energy to survive," said Sexy_McSexypants.

"Hmm, that block button lookin' good," remarked CPTGojira.

"As good as the salad?" another user responded.

"'You was pose to havw butterflies' - just this sentence alone would make me want to never speak to this person again," user sheenuts pointed out.

Glassblower Gets Revenge on Blatantly Misogynistic Customer By Sneakily Making His Order in His Wife's Favorite Color

Coming across horrible customers is just part of the trade when you run your own business. Knowing how to handle these kinds of customers is quite the art form that takes years of practice to perfect. And then being able to gracefully handle these rude customers AND get justice served while do so? Well that's straight up a super power. This glassblower reenacted a moment where she was able to do just that. She received an order that was so glaringly, obviously, blatantly misogynistic that she had to take action. Her little sneaky tactic was able to get some thoroughly satisfying justice served.

Sergeant Major Ruins VIP Event With Their Stupid Demands

This military audio engineer was told by an outranking Sergeant Major that their help wasn't necessary for setting up a VIP ceremony. They did as they were told and "f-ed off" which led to the ceremony being a disaster.

This thread was posted on Reddit's r/maliciouscompliance subreddit by the audio engineer, Redditor u/tiredbut. They shared their story on the popular subreddit with the title "Don't want to listen to me? Okay, enjoy ruining a VIP event."

Readers appreciated the story and said so in the comments while other military personnel shared their own stories.

"Heck, military or not, this is a perfectly typical audio tech story," said Aaron_Purr. "Happens with regularity in sound-world. The malicious compliance was delicious."

"Brings back so many memories," shared whiteswampoak. "As an E-4, I was once dismissed when I explained that setting up about a million dollars of sensitive electronic equipment on the bare ground wasn't a good idea. In perfect weather, this should have not been on the ground, but even worse that the location was in a depression, with several days of storms in the forecast. In my case, sanity finally prevailed though it took a lot of work to find the right person to press this issue up the chain, cause what does an E-4 possibly know?"
