25 Top Terrible Haircuts From People Who Probably Regret Everything

Sometimes we get a "wild hair" and go to our barber or hairdresser with a radical new idea for a haircut. After copious research, you present the haircut you have in mind to the hair cutter, who then needs to translate a grainy two-dimensional image on your phone into a masterpiece that still looks good in three dimensions. It's no surprise that sometimes this goes terribly awry. Hey, we've all had terrible haircuts, but at least it (usually) grows back. As my dad always used to say… The only difference between a good and a bad haircut is about two weeks. Well, in most situations, at least.

We have a story that is legendary in my family about bad haircuts. When I was in middle school we were at the local barber, and I was waiting to get my haircut; the head barber, who owned the barber shop, was giving another kid (a few years older than me) a clipper cut with a long comb. In the middle of a determined stroke with the clippers across the kid's head, the comb popped off and cut a long and wide strip of hair off the back of the kid's head. The kid took it really well and when he started laughing everyone else present did too. The barber, who felt terrible, ended up shaving a kid completely bald that day. Pretty sure it would have taken more than two weeks to grow back in that case.

Antiwork Memes for the Tired and Overworked

Most of us are tired and overworked these days. Jobs can be all-consuming and work can feel endless. Today feels like one of those days when the second the clock hits 5pm, we should all run out of the office like Forrest Gump and never look back. No end-of-day meetings or tasks or questions. No "can you do this one final thing for me?" or "do you mind taking a quick look at this?" No. Quick. Looks. Just "run, Forrest, run!"

For those of you who could use a commiserative laugh or two in the middle of a stressful work day, we've got you covered. As the say, laughter is the best medicine (well, besides, you know, medicine). These images were shared on Imgur by user WolfWoodPress. We've seen other scenarios like these. Such as this story when a job applicant walked out of the interview upon learning the job was wildly different from its description online.

Update: Boss Reads Employees Private Fan-Faction Erotica Out Loud to Entire Team as "Prank", Wonders if He's Wrong

This fast food manager read his subordinate's erotic fan-fiction to the team as a prank and has taken to Reddit's r/AITA community to see if he was wrong.  The two had developed a close relationship that probably crossed a few lines of professional relationships, especially when you factor in the subject matter of the fan-fiction and the manager's reaction to it. It sounds like the subordinate has developed a strong crush on her older, married, boss, and, despite being married, he has allowed and even encouraged these emotions.

This thread was posted by Reddit user u/throwawayfanficwork to the popular r/AITA (Am I the A-Hole) subreddit. This account is a throwaway for the manager, who posted their story to get the readers' opinions and see if he was in the wrong for his actions.

Commenters were unanimous in their condemnation of the manager's actions.

"YTA," voted user SabrinaSpellman1. "That wasn't a prank, you intentionally embarrassed her in front of people. A prank is something silly when you both laugh together, this was mean-spirited, and it humiliated her. You should apologize."

"YTA holy crap," remarked user Logical-Wasabi7402. "She shoves a cupcake in your face, and you basically revenge porn her through her fantasy fanfic? You need to prepare a lawyer."

"Hear me out, I know this sounds bad but YTA." said user penguin squeak.

In an update that was posted a few days ago (starting on item #12) the manager describes what has happened since the initial post. "Sophie" has returned to work and the two have reconciled their issues. Regardless, commenters were sure to let the manager know that they should not be managing people.

Employee Stands His Ground With Manager After Getting in Trouble for Being Three Minutes Late

If you're three minutes late once, your manager can take a chill pill. This school support staff member refused to allow his manager to bully him after he showed up to work only slightly late for the first time. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by user u/ohmydayzz, who shared his story about how he learned the hard way to refuse to give up any more free time without pay.

Here are the details. This staff member typically shows up to work 15 minutes early and always gets started immediately, per his manager's orders. When he showed up three minutes late and continued with his morning routine of making a coffee in the staff room before beginning his work, his manager berated him. To make matters worse, the manager got upset after the staff member took his full unpaid 45-minute lunch break the next day. This was the breaking point for u/ohmydayzz, who stood his ground and from that point on, never allowed his manager to bully him into starting work early or working during his required unpaid breaks.

We've seen similar stories about horrible bosses and bad managers. Like this one where co-workers took action after a worker was abruptly fired for being late for the first time.
