Mom Installs GPS Tracker in Unlicensed Teen's Car & It backfires!

This Mom thought outlining the tires with chalk and installing a GPS tracker would stop her unlicensed teenage daughter from taking out her car when her parents weren't home. Rookie mistake.

This thread, which was posted on Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/Dry_Tumbleweed_862, basically shows how this mother has no idea how to discipline her daughter at this point. First, they should never have bought her a car before the daughter officially got her license (what rich nonsense is that?).

We understand that the intent was to make her feel comfortable in a vehicle before taking the driving test, but just make her comfortable in your car then. Buying a 15-year-old something and then subsequently restricting its use is way more complicated than just waiting till after the kid has earned her own car.

And while we're on this subject, why restrict its use but not take the keys from her? You might as well give her a bottle of Vodka and say "but don't drink it." She's a teenager. She's going to drink it, Mom.

The moral of the story here is that coming up with elaborate ways to "track" your daughter's inability to follow the rules is more challenging than just doing a better job of establishing ground rules and making them feel as high stakes as they are.

We've seen plenty of rebellious teenagers acting out recently. For more, check out this story where a stepdaughter lashed out and threw her phone out the window. Keep scrolling below for the original post and for the best comments!

'Would you save your sick cat or your homeless sister?': Malicious Redditor pays for life-saving surgery for her senior cat instead of bailing her estranged sister out of failed investments

For siblings that become the forgotten member of the family, it's tough to watch the golden child slide through life without worries or cares. Obviously, family drama is pretty inescapable, and can be taxing both emotionally and financially. One Redditor, u/TWoldCat, was the outcast of the family and was alienated from her family since a young age by her toxic mother and golden girl sister. However, after she had started a new life without them, she was dragged back into the drama.

TWold was forced to make an impossible choice when it came to her dysfunctional family. She could either save her ailing 21-year-old cat, who had been her closest companion growing up, OR she could help bail out her financially irresponsible sister, who she had been estranged from for years.

For context, the cat needed dental surgery but was otherwise in excellent health. Twold's vet assured her that he had several happy years left in the tank if they were able to provide dental surgery for a bad tooth. Also, the sister had blown her off for years and they essentially never spoke until the charging into Twold's home two weeks ago, begging for money to cover her late mortgage payments due to her husband's poor financial investments in NFT's. Because they were behind a few months on payments, the sister was about to be kicked out of her home with nowhere else to go.

To be fair, according to Reddit, Lucy made the right call by ousting her sister, saving her cat, and blocking her angry family members online after they bashed TWold's final call. Frankly, it seems clear that TWold's cat was more familial to her than anyone else was, proving that blood is not thicker than furballs.

20+ Coworker Memes of the Week for Understaffed Teams of Employees (March 16, 2023)

Management doesn't necessarily provide the requisite means for employees to feel excited about work, AKA a non-toxic environment, and a good salary. In fact, the cost of living is making more and more people want to stay plonked down on their couches, and collect unemployment. Can we blame 'em? I mean, partially, I guess. But I understand the unappreciated broke feeling that is running rampant nowadays.

Is it fixable? Well… another good question without a black-and-white answer. Instead of focusing on all that, I'd rather focus on memes. First of all, it's a great way to procrastinate, and second of all, it is a proven method to distribute much-needed serotonin. We can focus on all the bad Karen coworker energy wafting around another time.

This week, I've compiled the best of the best when it comes to coworker memes. To check out last week's memes batch, all you gotta do is click here.

'Go back... and wait like everyone else': Traveller sparks airplane etiquette debate after they cut off passengers in front of them

The internet is debating the unspoken rules of boarding and exiting airplanes after this guy's 'AITA' question.

Lots of people enjoy flying, but many more people probably would say they actually hate being on airplanes. After getting through hours of security at the airport, you have to rush to your gate and then board in order. Then, you fly in a cramped cabin for hours, stuffed in like sardines with other random people. This traveller has a question about what happens once the airplane touches down again at its destination. As they write, they were sitting at the rear of the aircraft when it landed, and since they only had a backpack, the OP quickly got up and rushed to the front of the plane

This traveller probably thought that was a brilliant idea. What they didn't count on, though, was the reactions of the other passengers around them, who were completely ticked off that this person cut the line.

After that, scroll through these hilarious and scandalous confessions that are so dramatic they can only be told anonymously.

'2050 is closer than 1990': Nostalgic memes and fails for aging millennials

For those of us foolishly clinging to the past, we've got you covered. We may live in a world these days where the culture of the present does not match that of our youth, and that feeling can be, well, let's face it, infuriating. But rather than accept a world in which my interests and hobbies are no longer in the zeitgeist, I prefer putting on my rose-colored glasses and pretending I'm still just as relevant to the marketing industry as I once was. If this also describes your experience, then please come along and join me as we hop on the nostalgia with no plans to hop off any time soon. Keep scrolling below for these nostalgic memes and fails for all you aging former 90s kids and teens. 'She has threatened to call corporate': Entitled customer keeps barging into thrift store's backroom as employee tries to stop her

Customers can feel entitled to just about anything, as this sneaky woman proved to a thrift shop employee

The employee wrote that as a 4 year veteran of the thrift shop she works at, she has lots of regulars, including some that have no boundaries whatsoever. "V," as the OP has nicknamed her, is super pushy and feels that she runs the place. She seems to haggle with the employees to get prices lowered (at a thrift shop for goodness sake). But that's not even the worst of her problems. She also cannot fathom why she can't go in the "Employees Only" section of the store.

As the OP noted, there's lots of reasons you wouldn't want a random customer rooting around through the backroom. Merchandise isn't priced yet, and employees leave their belongings back there, no expecting it to be disturbed. V is way too entitled, and the OP would be totally in the right if she referred her to corporate. Let V banish herself from the store with her own words!

Next up, this guy was shocked that his HOA wants him to get rid of his airplane — and it's not even parked at his house.
