30+ People share different culture's names for that 'end piece of the bread', a surprising amount of cultures have the same idea

If you needed proof that all cultures have something in common: This is it. As it turns out, that end piece of crusty bread is regarded in a similar, if not identical, way in each culture. Forever an outcast, or as the Scottish put it: an outsider, that end piece of bread is regarded by all to be an inferior or unwanted portion, earning names like 'The Mother-in-Law,' the 'Butt' 'Boss,' 'Heel,' 'Nob'; all terms being derogatory, unwanted, and utterly dreadful, dirty things.

This is a topic that has been floating around the wider web. I've seen it pop up on Reddit, Twitter, and TikTok in the past few weeks. We posed the question to our Facebook community to see what answers they had on the topic.

This list is comprised of answers from a viral Twitter thread as well as answers from our own Facebook community. Keep reading for the answers; for more, check out these bizarre dates that Twitter users shared.

'He sent his brother instead. I was upset...' Wife drags BIL along on involuntary 2-hour ice-cream excursion, wonders if she's wrong

There are some things on the internet that remind you that people never really change — even when they reach adulthood. The sheer amount of immaturity and general inability to reach logical conclusions that one witnesses as they go about their day is a testament to this fact — as is the existence of 'Disney Adults.'

Cheap shots at adult fanatics of Walt's work aside — this AmItheA**hole thread is rife with poor decision-making and reads like a horror B movie script: with every issue being able to be resolved with the slightest amount of communication.

This type of plot structure might have worked in a time without cellphones (looking at you Sleepless in Seattle), but in this day and age — no matter how much you resent your partner — is it really that hard to pick up the phone and call them? Or even twiddle your thumbs around a bit to send them a text message?

Communication might not have been on the menu, but ice cream sure was; some suspicious Redditors seem to think that the BIL himself might have been on the menu as well. This AITA poster is now wondering whether or not she was in the wrong for dragging her BIL along on this ice cream adventure. She's definitely the a**hole here; her husband probably is as well. As far as we can tell, only the BIL is in the clear here unless Reddit's latest conspiracy about a secret affair can somehow be substantiated.

'I don't like the portrayal of lamps in this movie': 20+ Movie review fails that will have you throwing popcorn at the screen

This year was an exceptionally great year for movies. It also saw the growth of movie reviews online, with the popularity of Letterboxd becoming a meme. Letterboxd is an app for rating and reviewing movies, from one to five stars, which you can share with your friends and followers. These reviews are often wonderful and enlightening, giving you additional insight into a movie before you head to the theater. Plus, you end up learning about new movies from across the globe that you may not have even known existed. The people below wrote incredibly funny reviews that might not exactly tell you if you're going to enjoy the movie - but will still make you laugh your head off regardless.

Scroll down to check out the madness behind these movie reviews, and then click here to read about one youngster who kept the change while working…until he saved up literally thousands of dollars.

Attention-Seeking Male Karen Removes Friends Who Didn't Wish Him a Happy Birthday From Facebook

Dude, you just want attention! This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/F***YouKaren subreddit by u/Shopping-Afraid, is further proof that male Karens are just as ridiculous and just as savage, if not more so.

The fact that this entitled guy was truly expecting personalized "Happy Birthday" messages on his Facebook says a lot about how current he is in 2022. News flash: we don't really use Facebook for birthday messages anymore. Facebook is for groups, stalking, and finding old, embarrassing photos. If you're actually measuring your true friendships by how many birthday messages you receive on a public forum, that in and of itself is probably the reason why you're coming up short with each passing year. And let's be real: there's no way this guy remembers to wish more than maybe three individuals a happy birthday when their days come around. One person in the comments section said it best: this guy is suffering from "main character syndrome."

'You can't do that, I pay your tax': Confused Kevin insists on buying advance tickets for movie theater that's about to close, won't take no for an answer

Reddit user Dragon_Crystal had an amazing story to tell about this one confused dude who didn't quite understand why he couldn't buy tickets to a movie he really wanted to see. In this funny tale, this befuddled employee worked at a chain theater that was going to be closing in just a few months.

One day, in comes a Kevin, and he has a strange request - tickets for a movie that's playing a few months in the future. Ordinarily, that's no problem, because theaters sell advanced tickets all the time. When OP explained to him that this specific theater was actually about to be demolished, this Kevin just could not get it through his head! The OP found the situation pretty amusing, but ended up escalating the situation to their boss, River, to clear things up. Check out the whole conversation below, plus check out what the commenters said (because they kind of roasted this clueless Kev).

'Never mess with my money': Technicians band together against corporate for 'glorious malicious compliance'

In this story, there's a happy ending for those who deserve one! This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/SirMizzuh, who proves to be a true man of the people, as they say.

He worked as a technician for a small telecom company in a full-time capacity, but eventually they started to institute shady policies (i.e. enforcing double trips for every ticket, cutting employee hours, tracking their every move, etc.). They even held required meetings (and tried not to pay employees for those meetings), where they would go through every detail on their timesheets. If this isn't a setup for some Machiavellian malicious compliance, I don't know what is. Keep scrolling below to see how the Redditor and his coworkers banded together to get back at corporate. It's even more glorious when you learn what happened to the company at the end of the day. For more, take a look at this post about an employee who was CC'd about her own upcoming termination.
