17 Parenting Fails That Were Totally the Kids Fault (Videos)

Having kids is a wild ride and one that is completely unpredictable. Just when you feel like you've got the hang of it as parents, the kids learn something new and, boom - you've got a new level of parental protection you have to set up. In all of these kid fails, the parents had to go to DEFCON one million to keep their kiddos from bashing their faces, falling off the furniture, crashing their bikes, or worse.

These supermoms and dads definitely crushed it in the parenting success column while their kids were in the failure column! Here are twenty times when kids tested the limits of their parents (and, frankly, gravity), but the parents came up the winner in the end. Hopefully, these kiddos will remember these epic saves someday when their parents are old and in need of the same assistance :) (seriously, help them out - they made sure your face stayed pretty)

'I put an end to [it]': Guy solves neighbor's loud arguing with genius solution

Loud and inconsiderate neighbors can make existence miserable. Being unable to relax or get peace and quiet within the confines of your own home is grating and draining, really taking a toll on your mental health.

This homeowner had his peace disturbed when his "sweet" neighbor's psychotic girlfriend moved in. The silence they once enjoyed was shattered with constant screaming, yelling, and fighting. This continued to escalate until the arguments turned to loud, inappropriate accusations. Having finally had enough, the homeowner set about orchestrating their revenge.

'It says For Dogs': Entitled cyclists throw temper tantrum at park cafe after they drank dog water

These cyclists had no one to blame but themselves. They stopped by a garden café to fill their water bottles and rather than use the fountain intended for humans, they used the dog tap, which clearly had a sign saying that it was "for dogs." Well, considering that entitled folks never like to admit that they were the ones who were foolish, these guys decided to throw a fit at the very polite and very patient employee who worked at the café.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/EntitledPeople subreddit by u/Grommulox, who bore witness to the whole fiasco. At the end of the day, it really just goes to show that people don't read signs and will go to great lengths to prove a silly point rather than admit that they were in the wrong. '[I] found the most obnoxiously loud tie I could find': Boss sends employee home for not wearing the right tie, employee gets sweet revenge

The best part of this story is the image of the employee strutting into the office with a pink bow tie. He's just actively showing that his boss's ideas of professionalism are completely out of touch and a waste of everyone's time. And the cherry on top of it all is that his coworkers are now complimenting him for being the most fashionable one in the office. Talk about a blow to the boss's ego!

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit, and it's just further proof that sometimes the best way to show your boss how ridiculous they're being is to actually follow the rules. Well, to follow the rules in a cheeky kind of way. Having to wear a tie in this day and age is already ridiculous enough, but having to go home numerous times because it's not appropriate or interesting enough is way too far.

'I placed [the check] behind a windshield wiper of the bin lorry': Scottish guy gets back at local parking enforcement by using their own tricks

Local parking enforcement agencies might be the root of all evil. Whether it's the local transport agency, council, or city government, as soon as that organization is responsible for parking, you can guarantee they will use bogus tickets, blatant hypocrisy, and outright bullying to ensure they can bleed as much money as possible from the population.

But I should clarify that I'm biased here. If you've been reading these posts for a while, you might already be aware that I have a particular bone to pick with my local transport agency, who ticketed my car three times electronically after they mistakenly canceled my parking permit for parking in front of my own home. They had issued me $500 in fines before I even received the first letter and continued to ticket my car daily while refusing to accept any phone calls or other methods of attempted contact. Ultimately, I gave in to the bullying and extortion and paid the fraudulent fines so they'd stop ticketing me daily.

That's why it's always cathartic to see a story like this from someone who actually managed to get one up on their local parking enforcement. This thread was shared on Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance by Redditor u/Zenon_Czosnek, who shared how they managed to use the parking enforcement agencies' own tactics against them.

'Your employment [...] is being terminated for job abandonment': Employee resigns, then hears from HR 2 years later saying they were fired

Imagine quitting your job and moving to an entirely different city and then all of a sudden two years later, you hear back from your former employer. It's not a message to wish you well, and it's not even a question about a previous project from when you were employed there. No, of all things, it was a letter of termination on the grounds of "job abandonment." Come again?

The Redditor mentioned that their former boss was a bit disorganized, to put it lightly. That certainly explains a lot. How could he have messed this up? OP also revealed in a comment that they weren't a salaried employee and it's not like they were receiving pay after they quit, so there was simply no sign of this coming. Our main take on this is that HR is definitely up to something fishy here for their official records. The good news, and something OP should really remember, is that this bears literally no effect on their future employment.
