'Demanding rent in a fight made me the villain': Daughter cuts up credit card after mother continually reminds her of rent payments

A mom is sure she's teaching her daughter the right way to budget money, but her husband and daughter disagree. You have plenty of duties as a parent, and teaching your kids financial literacy is certainly really important to a parent of a young adult, like this OP, whose account has since been deleted.

The mom who wrote in to r/AmItheA**hole says that her 24-year-old daughter now needs to pay rent after leaving college. Even though she's only been in a job for a few months, her mom is quite insistent that she needs to pay rent ASAP. The daughter hasn't even gotten paid yet, but that hasn't stopped mom from bugging her constantly about it, and even getting into an argument where the OP admitted to calling her daughter a bad person. Commenters roasted the OP pretty hard — regardless of the lesson she thought she was teaching her daughter about money, it backfired on her.

'She made $20,000 on her wedding': Vigilante bridesmaid exposes bride who used a fake cash bar to hoodwink their entire wedding into paying for their honeymoon

Weddings are expensive, so planning a nuptial on a budget can make a person lose sight of appropriate ethics when it comes to money matters. Although everyone wants to make their wedding the event of their dreams, sometimes we're just not rich enough for that. One woman, a 40 something who was finally ready to walk down the aisle, recently planned an enormous wedding on a skimpy budget; then, she did the unthinkable. After putting together a 200 person event that could only float because of the generosity of her family and friends, she turned on the people closest to her in the grizzliest way.

Her DJ was paid for by a friend, the venue was gifted, catering was from a friend's restaurant, and they opted to have a cash bar. No shade on budgeting, but it was uncovered month's later that this bride was also gifted the booze that supplied the bar service, so where did all those $10 bill for well drinks and bottled beers go?

Scroll to uncover the treacherous tale of wedding thievery of a bride who was determined to get her dream honeymoon at the expense of all of her closest friends and family. 20 Powerful final bosses who simply cannot be beat

In this world, there are some forces that are inexplicably strong. These are twenty quite powerful beings, from large fruits to powerful (and kind of frightening) animals. There really are some absolute units out there that we'd never know about without the power of the internet.

Check out these powerful final bosses below. Then, this construction worker played a prank on his coworker — and it made the guy quit on the spot!

'I told them to kick rocks': Couple leaves scathing one-star reviews after being charged extra $200 for breaking bogus 'occupancy' rules

Ah, the power of the one-star review! Normally on this site, we do not support any Karen-esque behavior in which customers write scathing reviews of local companies for enforcing their policies, but this story is an exception to that rule. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/pettyrevenge subreddit by u/RushxInfinite, who was staying at a cabin on vacation with his then girlfriend.

There was a long-standing rule that any additional occupants will result in a $200 extra charge. However, the Redditor and his girlfriend only had visitor hang out for a few hours rather than stay overnight. The rule clearly does not apply here based on, I don't know, the definition of occupancy. But the Karen working for the rental company enforced the extra charge anyway, so what did OP, his girlfriend, and their extended group of friends do? They all wrote one-star reviews that collectively brought the online rating for the local rental company significantly down. When they came back to OP to apologize, OP was able to get some nice extra perks.

'Two weeks worth of dirty kitty litter': Woman gets revenge by leaving bait package for a "porch pirate"

There's nothing more violating than having your things taken from your own home, even if it's just on your front doorstep. For this reason, "porch pirates" are derided and often the topic of fearful conversation in neighborhood chats—and for a good reason. Those that betray the functions of society that operate on goodwill do nothing but bring the entire system down, making it worse for everyone.

This homeowner had had enough of her local porch pirate and set out a bait box as a trap to make them think twice about stealing other people's packages. The package wasn't anything valuable. Rather, it was weeks worth of used kitty litter with a stench so diabolical it was sure to teach the pirate a lesson they wouldn't soon forget.

They shared their story on Reddit's r/pettyrevenge sub, earning varied reactions from commenters who mostly applauded the move.

'He quit immediately on the spot': Construction worker quits job after discovering hidden coins planted by coworker

Here's a cautionary tale for you: be careful how you quit your job. This guy surely regrets the way he bowed out of a construction job!

The OP of this story, u/lrze403, shared the tale of what happened between them and their least-favorite coworker. The whole reason the OP and this coworker had bad blood is because the coworker couldn't keep his mouth closed. The OP had posted photos of them doing an unsavory activity, and the coworker showed the pics to the boss. OP probably shouldn't known better than to post the photos — after all, any coworker could have snitched. But even so, the OP decided to get back at this guy with a prank that the coworker took too far

'I no longer work here, remember?': Employee's two-week notice rejected, asked to leave immediately but still help with transition, she claps back

Bad bosses can't have their cake and eat it too! This is a classic example of employers making someone's transition infinitely harder than it needed to be. This thread was posted to Reddit by u/AZNM1912, the father of a young employee who had prepared a letter of resignation for her boss with two weeks' notice.

First, her boss rejected her notice and she was told to leave immediately. Then, they had the audacity to ask if she would still answer questions about her workload to help better facilitate her transition. Thankfully, the employee had the backbone to call them out on such a ridiculous request. We all know that employees giving their notice is quite frankly an act of generosity. They are in no way responsible or obligated to stay. Now, her bosses will have no one to properly train her eventual replacement.
