'My boss denied my 2 weeks notice': Horrible boss uses dumb loophole, refuses to let employee leave the company

This boss is going to make those final weeks a nightmare. She refused to let her employee leave the company because of the dumbest loophole. The employee put in their two weeks notice, but it was denied because they technically gave just under ten business days due to the Holiday season. Are you kidding me?

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/CaterpillarWeak893, who discovered that the initial contract did not specify whether or not two weeks meant two work weeks or two calendar weeks. With that in mind, as one person in the comments noted, this boss can't do anything. It's all empty threats. Our advice is to do the bare minimum on those final work days and if the boss makes it a hostile work environment, just walk away immediately.

'No, absolutely not': Boss losses their cool when employees abuse 'water privilege''

The audacity of some people to want to remain adequately hydrated.

Don't they know? The first rule of the cashier's code is that you must remain thirsty at all times. We're talking parched here — not even an ounce of liquid or spit remaining that could accidentally flick onto a customer's face. But, after a cashier betrayed this sacred code, their boss was forced to instate a ban on all water sipping due to their abuse of "water privilege."

That's insane… right? It begs the question of why some workplaces insist on treating their workers like children. Some organizations have policies put in place as if they're running a daycare, and management attitudes reflect the same frame of mind. Things like limitations on the time or frequency of bathroom breaks and "water privileges" are sure signs that you're not going to enjoy your time there.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit, and the worker shared their toxic workplace experience. Reactions were exactly in line with what you might have expected, and the workers were quick to condemn the manager's attitude.

Keep reading for the screenshots. For more, check out this insane sign that was posted to limit employee bathroom breaks.

'That was a desperate dad, willing to do a bad thing for his child': Man shares heartbreaking story of how he turned getting robbed into helping a father in need

Being approached by a stranger in a dark parking lot is already intimidating. You were just trying to mind your own business, and now you might be in a very scary and dangerous situation. However, sometimes these situations, when shed on by a different light, turn out to be okay. For instance, Bryan Minerly recently shared a story on his social media about how he somehow changed his fate from him getting robbed, to him helping a father in need.

'Woke Up And Chose Lying' : Most Unbelievable Claims, Literally

The internet does not have the most truthful reputation. Anyone can post anything and there'll always be someone who believes it. In fact, lying has become an actual day job, where you can get paid… unquestionably well. TikTok is known for people sharing 'wild' stories that happened to them, that frankly, probably didn't happen. Who's gonna do a background check? Where would you even begin to try to verify the source or level of truth? While scouring Reddit, we happened upon r/ThatHappened, where people share the most ridiculous crap that people are alleging happened.

Eyebrows were RAISED. Firstly, how do people come up with this stuff? Secondly, from where do they have the audacity to post it? Thirdly, we'd like to pick the part of their brain says 'Yep, this is believable. People are gonna go nuts'. Well, as usual, all we can say is that it does make good content. And it's super fun to read… Scroll down to see the amusing things people claim happened.
