'I...was told “oh but you know only people with talent get in right…?"': 30+ Artists share the harshest critiques they've ever heard

Everyone's a critic, including the very teachers who are supposed to guide students along their path to success. When senior art critic Jerry Saltz asked artists to dish on their worst art advice from teachers, he got some incredible responses.

He posed the question in a tweet, asking, "Artists: Did you ever have a bad art-school critique that really set you back, knocked you off your pins? What was it? Keep it short; don't exaggerate. Often, it can be the least thing. Have you ever made a "revenge" work of art? What was it?"

People shared some cringeworthy and heartbreaking "advice" that their teachers had given them, including a few teachers who suggested their art was so bad they should quit it. Lots of these tidbits of bad advice aren't that mean, but are still harsh words to hear as a student who's still learning. Not everyone knows how to give constructive criticism though!

Judge for yourself how these artists are doing now that they're creating "revenge art" pieces. Then, click here to read all about this father-son spat turned credit card dispute that has gone so, so wrong.

'I'm A Genuis!' : Funniest Verdicts By Shower Masterminds That Are Spot On

I am convinced that good ideas were not born throughout the day while dealing with a bunch of issues and complications at work. Take Isaac Newton, for example. Although there is no evidence to suggest that an apple actually landed on his head (To be fair, this was a long time ago, before social media informed everybody of what every human being was doing at any given moment), we are led to believe that his observation of the fact, caused him to develop his law of universal gravitation. As in, when he was resting. Which is the equivalent of taking a long hot (or cold, if you're a Wim Hof fan) shower, while leaning your head against the bathroom wall, sighing to yourself lazily, when suddenly what we like to call 'A Shower Thought' pops up.

Lucky for us, there is a place to share our expert opinions, philosophical ponderings, and general jibber jabber. It's called Reddit, and I am personally a huge fan. You have an endless supply of weird, interesting, creative and stupid content on there, categorized into different subreddits. That, my friends, is where I found these hilarious shower thoughts that made me go 'Damn, I never thought about it like that'. So without further ado, scroll down and check it out for yourself.

'It has no effect on your answer': Husband flips out after wife calls out his burger blunder

After a quick trip to a burger joint, this man freaked out at his wife… but was he justified in his annoyance?

Two video creators shared a slice of life in their marriage, and it's really resonating with burger lovers and people who just want to eat their own dang food and not have to share! Patrick and Marwa share their life together on their account called marriedwithflaws. Patrick has clearly just arrived home with a fresh bag of burgers and fries. Marwa has apparently committed the sin of asking for food after Patrick already went out and bought it. Now he has to share, and he is seriously annoyed about it.

As Marwa giggles and records the scene, she caught Patrick's very funny reaction to her last-minute fast food request. Check out the article below, then read all about these neighbors on the Nextdoor app who have no idea what they're doing.

'Send me a picture, I don't believe you': Employee tells white lie to get out of work party, toxic boss asks for proof

Here's a friendly reminder that when you're off the clock, you don't owe anyone anything! This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/Thuctran1706, is just further proof of that fact.

In this instance, the company was off for Christmas but there was an off-the-clock team social gathering that the original poster was invited to attend. Perhaps the Redditor shouldn't have told a white lie that they were out of the city and instead just explained that they wanted to spend the day off with their partner, but what was way worse was the Redditor's horrible boss requesting photographic proof that they were out of the city. That's obviously wildly inappropriate and also just not something the original poster should feel obligated to follow up with in any way. When you're off, you're off! Social work gatherings after hours are simply not a required part of the job unless you're getting paid for that time.
