The iPhone’s multi-touch display is one of the phone’s greatest innovations. But wouldn’t you know it, Steve Jobs and the team almost went in a different, stupider direction.
The iPhone almost had a click wheel like the iPod. But it wasn't a physical click wheel, it was a digital one. The video above from Apple leaker Sonny Dickson shows the click wheel from “Acorn OS,” which Mashable describes as, “an iPod-based interface for the iPhone that Apple was working on before deciding to go with the now-ubiquitous icon-based interface.”
Apparently, Apple had two teams working on the iPhone’s operating system, one that was led by Tony Fadell, the “father of the iPod,” and other by Scott Forstall, who was the Vice President of iOS software before leaving because everyone hated Maps. Fadell was working on this click wheel version based on the success of the iPod.
Obviously, “turning it into to a rotary phones from the 60s,” as Fadell puts it, wasn’t the way to go.

Not sure if this is good news or bad news, but an asteroid breezed past Earth this week, two days after it was discovered. That giant space rock so many of you voted for almost happened.
According to TIME, “The space rock, which is officially called 2017 AG13, flew between Earth and the moon Monday about 8 a.m. EST.”The object came “within half the distance of the moon.” Talk about a case of the Mondays! Am I right???
Now, speaking seriously, considering all that we have going on in the world, is this good news or bad news? You decide.

Sorry, rubber ducky, there’s a new bath toy in town, and it’s beer.
While everyone hates cleaning themselves, there’s one thing that could make it a whole lot better: Drinking. It’s common practice to sneak a Budweiser or even a Corona in the shower with you, but one microbrewery from Sweden is making a beer specifically for the shower.
“Shower Beer” as it is not-so-cleaverly named is a special beer that’s for the shower. The founder of PangPang Brewery, Fredrik Tunedal, says he came up with the idea after coming home from the brewery covered in malt dust and needing a shower. This beer is an ode to that special time as the water rains down on you.
How is specially made for the shower?
"I made to Shower Beer small enough to keep its temperature during the shower, and strong enough to mentally wash your workday off and get ready for a fresh night out,” he told Mashable.
He then goes on to describe the flavor as “heavily hopped” and “citrussy, soapy, and somewhat herbal profile.” Wait, soapy?

It’s no secret that it’s both hard to find and pay for an apartment in New York City. The space gets tighter and the prices get higher.
Which is why is shouldn’t faze anyone that a woman found her neighbor in her wall. That makes sense for New York. What should surprise you is that “inside the wall” isn’t his apartment, it was his access to the roof.
This New York woman, Gyste Margilaj, heard a crash in her kitchen late one evening. When she came to investigate, she could hear a man panting in pain near the vent.
According to Gothamist, “The unnamed man is, according to police sources, Margilaj's new neighbor, who recently moved into an apartment on the fourth floor of the building at East 26th Street. Cops say had been "hanging out" with friends on the roof, as one does on a delightfully frigid January night, when he decided to return to his apartment via an air duct. "Turns out that’s not the way for him to go," a police source dryly told the News.”
Apparently, this guy fell six stories down their shaft only to get stuck in the wall. Like I said, New York City apartments can be hard to find.
