There are a myriad of outcomes that you might expect when you make the bold decision to corner your boss into a meeting about your pay.
It might be your greatest fear that they'll just decide to fire you outright but I highly doubt most of us actually expect that this would happen. Unfortunately, if you're u/Travelinglogan, it's an entirely real possibility. It's a pretty savage reality that there are actually some managers out there who would stoop to such barbaric levels in order to save face when faced with the prospect of an entirely necessary professional conversation.
But maybe we shouldn't be surprised. With some of the things we've seen from 'horrible bosses', almost nothing is out of the question.
