'I just rage quit my waitressing job': Server finds out her boss was stealing her tips, quits on the spot and seeks legal action

Most people start a career as a waiter or waitress because of the money. It's no secret that servers make bank, but it's definitely not because of their minimum wage hourly rate, it's because the tipping culture in America says it's acceptable (if not encouraged) to tip 25%+ to the server on top of a restaurant receipt. So for servers who aren't making tips, why would you suffer the long hours, picky customers, and weekend enslavement? Exactly. You wouldn't.

One woman just recently quit her job in a furious rage because of a debacle with her tips. Not only was she not earning tips (after being told they'd go straight to her paycheck), but her boss was straight up stealing her tips for themselves. She basically caught him with a hand in the tip jar! After that incident, the Internet is up in arms. Keep scrolling for the full first account of this tantalizing tale of thievery, managerial fall out, and just bad business.

'She might bring team morale down': Braggart employee denied job position after colleague opposes her nomination

A college student really didn't want to recommend her colleague for a job. As the co-lead of a software research lab, this college student enjoys her job, all except for one specific colleague.

It's an unfortunate truth that you won't always get along with 100% of your colleagues, but just because you don't care for someone personally, doesn't mean they're not great at their work. However, the OP of this story, u/UsualAd1535, shared that her colleague constantly tries to one-up everyone around her. She's not content to let other people have a moment to shine. Instead, the OP shared examples of this woman bragging so much that it brought her classmates to tears. She writes that a classmate pitched a business idea, only for the colleague to immediately "overshadow his accomplishment" by bragging about her own personal start-up.

'I felt extremely embarrassed': Toddler cracks expensive artwork during open house, parents flee the scene

When something happens in a small town, everyone is going to hear about it. So when this couple chose to let their toddler roam unsupervised around an open house, they'd be crazy to think the whole town wouldn't know what happened by the next day.

The OP, u/open852, wrote to the r/AmItheA**hole subreddit with their rather intriguing etiquette question. In the post, they describe how they and their husband brought their 4 year old kid to an open house. While the parents were strolling the property, their kid got into some trouble. Instead of owning up to the mistake, the couple fled the scene!

OP then chose to share the story to Reddit, where they got absolutely roasted by commenters calling them TA. Who knows, maybe they'll take the advice to heart and pay for what they owe!

'I just found out my coworker is my cousin': Employee uncovers family secret, debates whether or not she should tell the whole family

Talk about office drama! Not everyone necessarily admits it, but we all enjoy a little workplace gossip. This revelation, however, has got to be an all-timer. This Redditor discovered that her coworker Ruby, who thankfully is someone she actually likes, is her cousin.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/TrueOffMyChest subreddit by u/Bannanna_La, who learned that her aunt had an affair when she was living in another state for work. That affair resulted in a child (Ruby). Ironically, OP later reveals in the comments section below that her uncle also had an affair, and the two ended up divorcing but to her knowledge, no one in the family knows about Ruby. Ruby is aware that her mother was married and, in fact, hadn't seen her since she was five years old. Now, OP is debating whether or not to spill the beans.

'I was excited... to get some video game satisfaction': Fired employee gets back at money-grubbing CEO in the most epic gamer fashion

Even if you had the nicest boss in the world, getting laid-off is never easy. It doesn't matter how much you pour your heart into your work or how many hours you put in, money-grubbing CEOs will always choose profits over people. Welcome to capitalism, buddy. You and your boss could become the best of friends, get drinks after work, share a funny duet during karaoke, but when it comes to cutbacks, employees are always the first to suffer. What can you do? Nothing, usually.

Unless you and your CEO are both gamers. Ooooh how sweet revenge can be when it can be conducted in a pretend scenario, like a video game. This OP on Reddit shared how he got back at being laid off and it was in the most epic gamer fashion. The company he worked for is unnamed, but the gist is that he was a very hardworking employee, but the investors wanted more money, so they laid-off hardworking people to give the greedy ones what they wanted. It was obvious the company chose profits over people. He was heartbroken, but there was nothing he could do.

Until his now ex-CEO joined the team shooter game they were playing online. At first, he saw that his old CEO was on the other team, and he was excited to get out some frustrations by hunting him down in the game. However, his boss switched to his team all of a sudden. The old CEO tried to say hi and act like everything was ok, but he was too upset with him to let that slide. So instead, he worked friendly fire for the win. He ended the old CEO even though he was on his own team, and, honestly, it sounds like that made his point of loathing him forever even more clear. Read the entire gamer revenge story below!

'You were rude to me': Karen gets unreasonably angry over a kid's meal

If you work in retail, customer service, or the service industry, sooner or later, you're going to run into a confoundingly indignant and angry individual who is going to ruin your day—leaving you thinking about this interaction for years to come. It's just a matter of sheer statistics; talk to enough people in a day, and sooner or later, at some point, you're going to have a grown adult having a full tantrum in the center of your store like it's some kind of performative art piece.

This Karen took offense to the fact that her order wasn't explicitly as she had intended it to be but failed to see how her continued ineffective manner of communication (which caused the problem in the first place) was exacerbating the problem. But the customer is always right, so she became increasingly frustrated at her inability to manifest the meal of her dreams growing increasingly angry at the situation.

Read on for this story, originally shared on Reddit's r/entitledpeople subreddit. Next, check out this entitled customer who threw a fit after realizing she had to wait in line like everyone else.
