'She wanted them in a week': Cupcake baker takes order for a friend, suddenly raises the price of the order

A disagreement over cupcakes is tearing these two friends apart.

Baking cupcakes and cakes for a living is one of those dream jobs that sounds super fun, and is actually a very lot of work. Unless you see behind the scenes, as a customer, you just can't understand what goes into creating professional baked goods

Many bakers do post behind the scenes videos on their social media pages, and it's incredible the amount of skill and technique necessary for these desserts. Some bakers use premium ingredients and expert tools. Sometimes they have to rent out kitchen spaces to do that, adding even more costs to them. Then you get to the actual decorating and packaging of the product, which again, takes lots of time and specialized skills.

All of which is to say, this baker wrote to r/AmItheA**hole, asking about an argument with their friend. This is one of those cases where the OP told a story, then the comments added some more really interesting details. We've saved the best OP comment for last!

'She was livid': Husband trades seats with a mother and her crying baby on a long flight to 'teach his wife a lesson'

There's nothing worse than being stuck next to a crying baby on a plane. Obviously, being an adult, you're supposed to apparently just turn your ears off for however long your flight is, enduring the screeching screams of the wailing infant next to you– they're the one that's uncomfortable, okay? Of course, they can't help it, they're just a baby and without a doubt, their sleep-deprived parent is also counting down the seconds until the end of the flight just as much as you are.

One woman couldn't contain her fury as she and her husband heard the distant sounds of a newborn screamer in economy class as they boarded into their first class seats for their 8 hour flight. The husband hated that she was complaining so much and figured he would teach her a lesson about having a little more grace with children on a plane. Without thinking much, the husband decided to trade seats with the new mother, forcing his wife to sit next to the new baby for the next 8 hours.

Perhaps in that time they reconciled their differences. Do you think the husband taught her a good lesson here? Or is he simply a vindictive man-child who's a bigger baby than the 15 week old crier in economy class? Well, either way, he wielded the pain of the new mother with the hopes of converting his angry wife into a complacent, meditative traveler. Scroll to see how things really went down at 20,000ft.

'I'm going to sue you': Male Karen claims he slipped in the store the night before, story doesn't add up, he vows to sue anyway

Some people just want to make a scene. There might be zero evidence or justification for their actions. There might not even be a plan to pursue things further down the road. Clearly, however, that didn't matter to this male Karen, also known as Kevin on the Internet. Kevin claimed that he slipped and fell on the wet floor the night before and brought it to the attention of the Redditor, who was working during that time.

Although the Redditor did admit that they had just mopped the floors that night and forgot to put up "wet floor" signs, Kevin's story increasingly made less and less sense as he made his case to OP's manager and supervisor. In fact, when the manager finally got on the phone to make a formal complaint on Kevin's behalf, Kevin refused to give his contact information. If that's not a sign that all of this was fabricated or at least blown out of proportion, I don't know what is.

‘Next time, say please': Couple posts neighbors' sawhorses on Craigslist as ‘free’ after parking debacle

New neighbors can bring about a carnival of chaos, simultaneously disrespecting you and your property, feeling entitled to your parking space, etc. Put simply, it's a hit or a miss. You're either very fond of them, find them tolerable, or despise their very presence. In this case, OP took to r/pettyrevenge, explaining how they got even with their (frankly, normal) neighbors. OP got upset over a 'rude note' that their neighbors left on the windshield of their car after OP had parked on their property. The note read, 'Do not park here', and OP couldn't get over the 'inexcusable' fact that they hadn't added the word, 'Please'.

So OP hatched a plan for revenge, which consisted of posting a local ad on Craiglist, listing the sawhorses their neighbors put on their driveway as 'free', including a pickup address. The sense of entitlement on this one is kind of flabbergasting. Scroll down to read what happened next. 'You should fire them!' Karen demands fellow customer is fired from a place she doesn't work

There are a lot of challenging things about working retail, but by far, the most challenging is dealing with entitled customers. It never ceases to amaze you… the types of people you encounter when working these jobs. The very idea of receiving the most base levels of "service" gets some people foaming at the mouth as they rabidly seek to wield the most assuredly strained semblance of power.

This lust is blinding, and soon they no longer recognize "friend" from "foe," turning on fellow customers and treating them as if they and the staff are one and the same. Things will occasionally escalate to the point that the entitled person, still refusing to listen to reason and refusing to accept the fact that the customer is not a staff member, will demand the customer be fired. The ensuing shock and wily actions of others involved then create some interesting situations.

When this Karen was refused the help she demanded from a fellow customer at a game shop, she then demanded that the customer be fired. Read on to see the result and some of the reactions. Next, check out this Karen, who accosted a restaurant manager at a place they didn't work just because they were nice to a server who worked there.
