Guy Recounts the Tragic Tale of His Hilarious 'Zoom Meeting' Fail
It's always when we go out of our way to seem as cool as possible that the universe decides to make us look the most foolish. Some kind of cosmic karma bolts from the blue to put us right back in our place…
Well, that's precisely what happened to this gentleman when he tried to act suave on a Zoom meeting. Right at that very moment, his IKEA furniture decided to fail him.
This thread was posted to Reddit's r/TIFU subreddit by Redditor u/DishsoapOnASponge. For those who haven't been online in the last nine years, the acronym means 'Today I F-ed Up' and originated with the subreddit when it was created in 2012. Since that time, TIFU has become synonymous with the internet and has earned its place in the "Internet Acronym Hall of Fame" along with the likes of WTF and FML.
This classic subreddit has given us some real timeless posts throughout the years, spawning the likes of the "Coconut C*m" post, "AncestryDNA," and "Pretended Not to Know About Potatoes." We might endeavor to revisit these in the near future.

Sweet Woodwork That's A Real Treet To Look At
For many of us, when we reach a certain age we are allowed to go in one of three directions. These three flavors of personality are known as trains, World War 2, and woodworking. This is a known fact. Sure, it provides you a bunch of personal satisfaction, but it makes you infinitely more difficult to talk to at parties. Any reasonable person can only listen to someone talk about joiners for 30-45 minutes tops before they want to go home. The woodworkers of the world have smooth, impenetrable brains, much like a properly sanded and lacquered chifforobe.
Anyway, here are some very cool things people managed to do with wood. Personally, we prefer to burn it and then poke at it with other, smaller pieces of wood, but shaping it into miracles of engineering is a close second. Poke poke poke.
For some other terrific feats of craftsmanship, here is fancy brickwork to gawk at and feel unskilled over.
Boss Complains About Long Unpaid Lunches, Complains About OT When Employees Claim the Time Instead
Sometimes your boss just wants a reason to complain and someone to blame… because even the laziest and worst managers have to look like they're doing something to justify their paycheck. Some lazy managers have got this figured out. Instead of working on something productive and trying to steer their team in positive new directions, they turn to the "Ouroboros of Overhauling." A constant shifting of policy and structure that isn't very well thought out achieves nothing but frustration for the subordinates they're affecting. But, hey, it gives them something to write in their report to upper management.
When this boss demanded that their subordinate shorten their unpaid lunch breaks, they didn't even pause to consider the consequences. Their subordinates had been taking these longer breaks as a favor to the company in order to cut down on unnecessary overtime. This rule change left the workers with but one option… Charge the time instead, which they were happily obliged to do.
This thread was posted to the r/maliciouscompliance subreddit by the employee, Redditor u/mattchica20, who tells the story of their very clever compliance to their boss's demands.

Petty Things People Did With Zero Regrets
The world is an unfair place where the powerful just accrue more power, and the rest of us are left to abide by a sort of honor code that we're being held to by the very people who are screwing us over. Isn't that an interesting situation to find yourself in. It's enough to drive some of us mad, and it's enough to drive others to take things into their own hands and make things happen for themselves.
Here are some times people did petty or unsavory stuff and didn't feel a single tinge of regret. Or, it's at least the stuff people are willing to admit to on the internet. Who knows what kind of junk people get up to that no one ever finds out about.
For another tale of defiance, here's the employee who was fired over a technicality, took back their own property, and left their company nonfunctional.
25 Blursed Images That Are Terrifically Intriguing And Rewarding
Life might not always be cool, good, or fun. But at least it's frequently interesting. Blursed images are a nice combination of terrifically nice blessed images and dark cursed images that somehow inspire a sort of levity in the chaos that is life. Who are we to say what is or isn't a good use of time on this planet? Maybe we all need a few more preachers in giant conch shells in our lives. Maybe we can derive meaning from watching a seagull smoke a cigarette. Maybe, just maybe, there's some inherent value to finding a guy who looks exactly like the human version of Shrek from Shrek 2.
There probably isn't, but at least we've got our ticket to ride this oozing funhouse called life on earth.
And if you couldn't get our fix of inherent strangeness from just what fell out of the internet this time, here are some more blursed images from this strange plane of existence.
