Dungeons and Dragons Memes To Cast On Self

Sometimes regular escapism isn't enough. You can only re-watch so many episodes of "I Love Lucy" while wearing a pasta-stained Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles onesie for so many months before reality comes creeping back into your unfulfilled life. That's when it's time to bring out the big guns. When you don't even want to be a human anymore, it's time to grab the dice, get together a few punctual acquaintances, and get to business filling out a stat sheet for your half-dwarf barbarian mage that you've already congratulated yourself for naming "Shockrates."

Dungeons and Dragons lets us fulfill our wildest dreams, such as "what would happen if I hit this traveling bard with a hammer and took his things" or "what would happen if I hit this innkeeper with a hammer and took his things." We are seeing no themes here and we do not want to self-reflect on the choices we make in fictional realms.

Here are some more dungeons and dragons memes.

HOA and Neighbor Karen Mess With Wrong Gardner Uncle, He Gives Them the 'What For'

This gardening uncle became the target of his HOA for violating their 'no fences' regulation after he was reported by his Karen neighbor for the small half-foot high picket fence that he placed around his garden. The HOA regulation was supposed to pertain to enclosing fences only but the HOA's strict interpretation of their regulations allowed them to enforce it against any and all fences. The uncle decided to play into their strict interpretation game and after combing through the regulations he began to see a plan taking shape…

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/maliciouscompliance subreddit by Redditor u/stardenia who posted the tale to tell the story of their uncle's brilliant revenge on the HOA and neighbor Karen for messing with his garden.

When reading this we can't help but picture the uncle as some kind of Tom Bombadil-like figure who, despite his cheery and carefree exterior, holds a vast amount of power and knowledge that mortals can't comprehend.

Parents Cancel Kid's Birthday For His Entitled Brother, He Tells His Entire School

This dejected son shared their story of the time their parents canceled their birthday party due to their sibling's entitled tantrums. They explain that their brother had high-functioning autism and the inter-workings of the family dynamic that was built around that presented a situation where the dejected son was having to make constant concessions for their brother and share everything that they had with them. It definitely reads as a difficult situation for this family, but the shades these parents are painted in during the events of this story do not present their actions as being rational or fair.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/entitledparents subreddit by the dejected sibling, u/Holden-Position-4, who shared their story of the hardship they faced during this particular event and how they strong-armed their parents by exposing their actions to their entire school.

This subreddit often hosts stories of difficult family situations and situations where 'entitled' parents have manipulated and cheated the children that they are raising or have raised. The stories often consist of rampant narcissism, gaslighting, and entitlement. Sometimes there are bittersweet moments but predominantly these are not feel-good stories as they deal with the struggles children face within these families.

Karen Boss Forbids Employee's Use Of Hearing Aids, Employee Can't Hear Anything, Obviously

If there's ever been a clearer cut case of an incompetent boss, we haven't heard of it. This Karen was under the impression that their own hearing-impaired employee's cochlear implants would be a distraction during work. And in a way she was right. Hearing customers and your own boss complain is a huge distraction.

Luckily, this is one of those things that righted itself. Turns out if your boss makes a rule that makes the workplace less efficient, loses them money, and makes them look like the idiot that they truly are, that new rule will go away faster than you can say "I never made a rule like that, what are you talking about?" Good on this employee for going the whole nine yards to let Karen know how dumb she was being.

For another tremendous tale of workplace idiocy, here's the Karen boss who refused to accept an employee's resignation and left to go shopping instead.
