This Woman Attempted to Smuggle a Gun into Jail With Her... Well... You Know...
Via KOAT: According to a criminal complaint, McAllister told investigators the gun was in her waistband, but the Bernalillo County deputy who interviewed her said he doubts that and believes the gun was likely in her private area.
Officer Simon Drobik said police did their best to make sure she wasn't armed before entering the jail. "We can only be so thorough, and that area is out of the question. We cannot search a body cavity," said Drobik.

Luckily his injuries weren't life-threatening, but he probably has a totally different understanding of trigger discipline now!
Hubble Takes a new Photo of the Pillars of Creation
Hubble is reprising one of its greatest hits. Twenty years after the release of its iconic image of the Eagle nebula's "Pillars of Creation", the space telescope – which turns 25 this year – has captured two new, even sharper views that peer through the pillars' shrouds of dust.
The original image, taken in 1995 with Hubble's Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2, revealed three towering "elephant trunks" of gas and dust that are in the process of forming new stars. The columns are also being sculpted and eroded by winds from nearby young star.
