The McDonald's hot coffee case went down in 90's history as a goofy late-night-talk-show-level absurdity that seemed like it was about a money-grubbing lady who was too dumb to know that coffee was hot. As it turns out, the details were more nefarious than that. For more people on tumblr getting blasted with knowledge, here are tumblr users getting schooled on car safety.

What a bizarre predicament to find yourself in while you're just trying to crash at an Airbnb. This 26-year-old dude shared the actual handwritten note that he received from his host. Apparently they were all kinds of fired up over him having a strong odor.

We know that big movie studios stick to classic money making formulas, and that can lead to bland, predictable movies. But it looks like it's way worse when it comes to advertising for those movies. Tumblr has a thing for analyzing movies, like this hyper analysis of Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean. Here's a tumblr user who ranked the marvel movies based on how many trains were in them, and here's tumblr's dicussion of the visual affects of Jurassic Park.

Well this is definitely one of those fun AskReddit threads that the internet was made for. Someone asked people to imagine what kinds of sentences a judge would give out to people that were being punished for actual food crimes, in a food court. Things like stealing all of your SO's fries and straight up biting into a Kit Kat bar, are being recognized as the wrongful behavior that they are.

People are pretty great at finding alternate uses for things. Sometimes it's some military invention that gets re-marketed as a household convenience, sometimes it's a reflection of changing times, and sometimes its people realizing it's fun to shoot at each other using a paint-launching logging device. Here are some cool and interesting inventions.

It makes some people uncomfortable to see improperly cut pizza, misaligned door frames and anything that's just not quite perfect. Maybe you're awesome and are totally chill with seeing imperfect stuff that's slightly off center. In that case, good for you because we hate these.

When confronted with the issue of people locking themselves out of their apartments on the weekends, this manager wanted to avoid paying overtime by passing the burden onto their own tenants. The policy was unpopular. As it so often happens with incompetent managers, their plan backfired.

In a noble move, this guy's pregnant wife wants to name their child after her grandfather. The problem is, that kid's name would end up being John Doe. The internet found that burdening your kid with the name they give to unidentified bodies sounds like a bad idea. Here are some other horrible names people have encountered.
