Malicious Compliance: Karen Boss Demands Email Correspondence and That She Never Reads, Orchestrates Her Own Demise

When a new manager felt threatened by one of her subordinates, she demanded that they submit everything to her via email as a means of control. She then maliciously kept from reading those emails, leading to her downfall.

Redditor, u/TrainingOutcome5466, used to work on campus back when they were in university. They were what you might consider the "unofficial leader" of the team. When a new "Karen" boss joined the group, she immediately felt threatened by u/TrainingOutcome5466 and didn't like that they would always vocalize the team's disagreement with the poor decisions she was making.

This escalated to the point that Karen was making u/TrainingOutcome5466 work to restrictions that no one else did, including requiring that they conduct all matters via email. They were sure to comply with Karen's every demand and sent dozens of emails a day. When they learned that Karen was intentionally ignoring all of these emails, the chance for some malicious compliance presented itself.

Guy Walks Out on First Day, Refuses to Take New Bosses Abuse

This self-respecting employee didn't make it a day at their new job after they set an ultimatum with their new boss regarding the boss's treatment of them.

When Redditor u/slightlyburnttoast posted this viral thread, he was overwhelmed with positive responses. Commenters came out in full support of his decision to leave this job on the first day after his new boss attempted to come down on him for something he hadn't even been trained on yet.

The incident occurred when he attempted to get some hotter fries prepped for a guest rather than give them the cold ones that had been sitting around. Unfortunately, this caused his boss to snap at him, and when he attempted to explain himself, he was hit with the classic line… "No, you do as you're told!!"

Then and there, he knew that this authoritative garbage of a workplace was not for him, and he set an ultimatum for how he would be treated before walking out of the door.

For more workers quitting horrible bosses, check out this worker who was ridiculed for coming in and working overtime on their day off. Even after they had to cancel their own plans. They decided that they were better than that abuse and quit immediately.

Absolute Units That Put This Small World To Shame

Everyday life gets boring. We walk around our little dumb lives and see the same dumb little things every dumb day. It's easy to forget that there are some seriously uncanny beasts out there. The large ones. The vast ones. The ones so big they need to buy two seats on an airplane. It's these moments of gargantuan-ness that reminds us that we live in a great, mysterious world. A world where it makes sense to have a 50-pound bolt. Where it makes sense that a horse should have biceps and weigh four thousand pounds. Where you could wear a spider as a hat.

This splendiferous world of ours can conjure up such amazingly large beasts, it makes us wonder if there's even a limit to it all. We hope not. We want to see a house cat the size of a tiger. That would really make us feel something. Probably fear. Yeah, most likely that.

What must it be like to be an absolute unit? To look down at this tiny world and only see ants? We can only guess. Or ask. But guessing is more fun.

People Share Their "I Can't Stand This Guy" Guy

It's not healthy to dwell on negativity.

With that out of the way, we can also fully acknowledge that there are some truly selfish, lazy and ignorant hypocrites in our own lives. The kind of people where when you find yourself in a room with them, you start counting the seconds until they leave. So while holding onto hatred is an unhealthy thing to do, it's not like we don't eat fast food. Consider these bites of spite to be something like delicious nuggets of savory hatred. Live a little.

It could be their demeanor, the way they lie or brag about themselves, or just a stupid hat they wear. We all have buttons that get pushed, and there are people out there whose asses are shaped just perfectly enough for them to sit on all of them at once. Like a key in a lock. Just the thought of them increases our heart rate, and simmers up our blood.

For some more tales of cartoonishly frustrating individuals, here are absurdly rude guests who made themselves far too comfortable.

Devious Woman Tries To Frame Her Coworker With Frivolous Expenses, Justice Is Administered

OP was thrust into a sticky situation when their boss asked them to explain a whole bunch of frivolous expenses to the company account. Unable to come up with a sufficient explanation, they were just barely able to keep their job. It was when their coworker seemed all too pleased by the outcome that they realized that something was amiss. And after just a bit of detective work, they were able to track a food delivery to discover the true culprit.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that stealing from your job isn't something that is going to make you a lot of friends. Maybe the lesson here is "if you're going to defraud your company and stick the blame on a coworker, don't make any purchases that are trackable to your home address."

Boy does it make us feel good to see the truth arrive on a white horse and banish sinister evil-doers from the workplace. For some more swift revenge, here's the entitled dock Karen that tried to rent a stranger's boat, then got covered in burrito.
