It's not uncommon for customers to find themselves on the wrong ends of their own "fairness" tantrums, like this guy who asked for no ice and got less than that or this one pound cake Karen who was furious for getting what she wanted. At the same time, Kudos to managers who aren't gonna put up with all the nonsense, like this manager who went full throttle on a customer who demanded hotter coffee.
One of the biggest problems with talking online is that it's impossible to decipher someone's tone, but at the same time it's also very easy to assume someone is trying to be a jackass. On top of that, we never really know when we might "crossing the line" for someone who's freakout meter is set on a hair trigger. And to fuel the flames of this situation in particular, they decided to make like a chicken sandwich themselves and double down. What started as one chicken burger/sandwich correction rolled into a multi-day snafu that had people freaking out over nothing when everyone could have just gone outside or spent time with their families. Making perfectly ethical dietary decisions is hard. Most people who refuse to eat meat on ethical grounds bring up the reasonable claim of "I like animals and hurting them makes me feel bad" which is their choice to make. But things aren't so simple when it comes to products made by animals themselves, and it becomes less clear still when it comes to bees. The claim of "is it ethical to steal the labor of bees" has a whole lot of twists and turns. Naturally, the people of tumblr took the idea and ran it into a wall, specifically with the whole hilariously dumb "bee centrifuge" thing.
Having your car towed absolutely sucks. But given the circumstances of having a repossessed car already up on the truck, most of us would consider it a lost cause. It's such a sophisticated tactic that it's almost impossible to notice. With all the times our bosses have demanded gift cards and emailed us barely readable messages asking for our financial information, it can be hard to tell when you're being played.
