Guy gets call from debt collector looking for his ex-wife, he leaves them 600 voicemails as revenge

Divorce, unfortunately, is almost never final… whether ongoing custody battles, financial disputes, or fending off repeated slights from a crazy ex—it's going to haunt you. That being said, there are those who have come to the end of their romantic relationship who somehow manage to make things work and still be friends. Surprising, I know, but it gives me hope that some people do have the capability to be decent and rational.

Well, this guy, Redditor u/Nerd_Law, is continuing to be haunted by his ex-wife, from who he split eight years ago. Not over children or hard feelings… but certainly over her finances. He keeps receiving phone calls from a debt collection agency that is trying to reach his ex-wife to recover her debts. These companies infamously have no boundaries and will call your best friend from first grade if it means that they have a shot of hitting a payday. He was absolutely fed up with this situation and decided that a little revenge was in order to balance the scales.

'AITA for yelling at my girlfriend to stop f-ing eating?': Guy's outburst shuts down entitled indulgent girlfriend

Each and every one of us has a memory (or memories) from our childhood that we hold dear, a nostalgic high-water mark of the happiest moments of our lives. We could drive ourselves mad trying to attain this same sense of blissful wonderment—and indeed, some have. This girlfriend seems to be one of those people, choosing to forgo all rational thought and social decency to chase and ride the high of her youth.

Who doesn't love dipping their finger in a baking work-in-progress? Reckless abandon prevails over all common sense (and the risk of salmonella) for the rush of dipping your finger into a bowl and withdrawing it with a coating that's sticky and sweet. Still, it's probably best not to do this for something that's destined to be consumed commercially by the masses… there are rather strict rules about that.

Still, when this nostalgic-tripping girlfriend couldn't keep her fingers clean, she caused her boyfriend to blow his top. Now he has turned to Reddit's r/AmItheA**hole subreddit to see if he is in the wrong for his reaction… —What's your read?

Update! 'She thinks I'm being a jerk for making her pick between her friends and me': Guy suddenly ditches GF in the middle of vacation

This poor dude just wanted to have a romantic getaway with his GF… until she brought a bunch of her close friends along. Here's the latest update from u/Gradtattoo_9009, who originally wrote in to r/AmItheA******.

In his first post, the OOP shared that he and his GF have been dating for quite some time, and he was ready to pop the question. The OOP planned a fun trip full of winter activities like snowboarding and skiing, and told his GF months in advance. The only problem is his GF just could not say no to bringing all her closest friends along.

At first, the OOP tried to accommodate her, but it soon became clear that they weren't going to get much alone time. He wasn't even able to find time to propose to her, so he left.

Next, if all your friends jumped off a bridge, would you? Or, to give the modern version of this question, this OP asked: if all her friends pressured her to get a tattoo she didn't even want in the first place, should she get it?

'It kept getting worse': Guy breaks up with girlfriend because she's too obsessed with KPOP boy band

In case you haven't noticed, fandoms have gotten a little out of control these days, and it's starting to affect relationships. This guy had been dating his girlfriend for seven years since they were teenagers. But along came the KPOP sensation BTS. The moment she became obsessed with everything any BTS boy band member did was the beginning of the end of their future together.

He shared his story via this thread on Reddit's r/TrueOffMyChest subreddit, and what was even more remarkable was that a number of folks in the comments section seemed to know this situation all too well. It just goes to show that our culture of celebrity worship has gone a bit too far these days, especially in the age of social media. That being said, it's not like this is something that is solely relevant to younger generations. Remember the amount of celebrity worship for Elvis and the Beatles? I don't, because I wasn't alive then. Regardless of what you think of the musical acts themselves, the excessive amount of celebrity worship within pop culture is clearly still alive and as unhealthy as ever. ‘He Couldn’t Fathom Why a Woman Was Interviewing Him in This Industry’ : Potential Employee Messes Up Job Interview Big Time for Discriminating Against Female Boss

Job interviews can be daunting. You know beforehand who is going to interview you, so normally you'd come in with some kind of prior research. But some folk are less… prepared. Usually, people make it a point to try to not insult the person who interviews them — AKA, their potential employer/boss. But alas, some are not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Yes, you can find women in the manufacturing business. Shocker! You can also find them in construction, finance, agriculture, firefighting, and any other profession. Crazy, huh? This woman took to the r/IDoWorkHereLady subreddit to share her strange experience interviewing a young dude, who kept looking outside at another dude in shipping, asking who he was — to which she replied 'Chris'.

He either had a serious crush on Chris, or he has a tendency to self-sabotage. He made it his mission to make sure he would not be accepted to the job by repeatedly asking when 'Chris' was going to interview him. He couldn't fathom why a woman was interviewing him in the industry. Way to make an interview awkward and not land yourself the job. Scroll down for a detailed account of what happened below.

Update: ‘I Quit and Already Got a New Job That Pays Double’ : Overworked Employee Abandons Understaffed Team Following Boss’s Terrible Management, Boss Tries Bribing Employee to Stay With 25-Cent Raise

If you're looking for a sign, this is it. Is your boss treating you as if you're easily disposable, adding additional work duties that are not technically a part of your job description? Maybe it's time you look for a place where you'll be appreciated — where you won't be taken for granted, a place that will properly compensate you for the amount of work you do.

In an earlier post, you'll find I wrote about a tired employee, working on an understaffed team at a restaurant, who shared his 'horrible boss' experience with Reddit. This boss instructed him to do things that weren't a part of his job description. We've all been there... they're the worst. Furthermore, he told u/Dio_bean (the worker) to go and do a 'deep clean', so this employee did what anyone else would — he maliciously complied. You can check out the full story here.

So, a lot has happened since then — apparently, u/Dio_bean quit and found a better job that pays double what he's making now. His boss was unhappy about it, so he decided to try bribing him to stay… drumroll please… with a 25-cent raise. Scroll down to read his detailed account below.

'What do I do if they aren't home?': Landlord gives handyman unclear instructions when tenants won't answer the door, cue malicious compliance!

When the instructions are unclear, horrible bosses and managers have no one to blame but themselves. That's one of the main takeaways from this situation (the other one being that landlords are still the absolute worst!).

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/fluid_reference, a friend of the handyman at the center of the story. He had just started working for this landlord and was receiving a tutorial on doing heat readings in apartments. When he asked his boss what to do if the tenant doesn't answer or open the door, the landlord laughed and shrugged off the question. Well, what does one do after receiving unclear instructions? This guy figured it was worth it to wait and get paid overtime during that period. The best part of the story is that when the landlord tried to fire the handyman as a result of his "clever shenanigans," the union sided with the handyman. Turns out this malicious compliance paid off (literally)!
