We often take the names of things, and certain processes completely for granted. We often overlook the logical process of how something came to be just because we've never had to actually think about how it got that way.. It makes us feel smart to finally figure something out, but stupid that it took that long. There are a lot of obvious things people realize way too late.

Seeing a star in person can have the effect of making you the stupidest person on the planet. Like, what do you say to a movie star if you're awkwardly blocking their way on an airplane? Seeing someone in person that you've seen in a movie, even someone you may not even particularly like, creates a scenario that most people just don't know how to deal with.

This parent had a rough night of sleep, and proceeded to fall into such a mental fog that they forgot what day it was, and literally forget that their kid was at school. The pure panic that they must've endured upon waking up from that deep slumber, and assuming that their kid had been taken must've been the stuff of nightmares.
