Impossible inventions: 20 Gadgets that are too weird for this world

What would we do without the great inventors of today? It can seem like everything has already been created, from electric tea-warmers to Snuggies to iPhones

But today's inventors have to have the most creative "eureka!" moments possible. Thanks to the internet, we can now find out about the most cursed inventions that thankfully don't exist. Some of these inventions were created only once with a 3D printer, or just invented with concept art. The world just isn't ready for Crocs you can wear on your hands, or for Internet Explorer scented cologne.

Up next, gain enlightenment from these very wise quotes, which all come from tweets, movies, or TV shows.

'I would like to be paid immediately': CEO tries to withhold former employee's final paycheck until they sign an NDA

If this isn't the problem with startup culture, I don't know what is! This former employee, who shared their story via this thread on Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit, was fired on December 2nd. Their boss — the CEO of the startup — has refused to deliver the Redditor's final paycheck by December 13th. The reason why? Well, the CEO wants the employee to sign a new NDA and is essentially holding their final paycheck hostage until that document is signed.

Thankfully, here's a story where the Redditor knew their rights and threw them right back in the face of their former employer. They pointed out that withholding pay in this instance is already a violation of California labor law and that the employee signed an initial NDA in their original contract. Why were those original terms no longer sufficient enough? After a heated back-and-forth over email, which you can find below, the employee decided to CC the company's investors, board of directors, and former clients in a final display of delicious revenge.

'I hate myself for it, but he kicked my cat': Heroic man fights his drunk roommate after he assaulted his 6 month old kitten

Anyone that could intentionally hurt an animal is a complete monster. Animals haven't done anything wrong and certainly don't deserve to be abused by jerk-off hoomans who think they can get off scot free. One Reddit user recalls a story of the time he took justice into his own hands when his roommate committed one of the most atrocious and unforgivable crimes known to man. After his drunken roommate kicked a baby kitten in the face, the true hero of this story, u/Reaper1868, protected the dignity and well-being of his 6 month old cat by beating up this heartless culprit.

'She had it coming acting like that from a 5 word innocent SMS': Wife flips out after wrong number pranks her into thinking her husband is cheating

One Twitter user tried to text her best friend, only to find out she had suddenly changed her number. One Twitter user who goes by @fayemikah shared a text conversation that went from 0 to 100 real fast after the woman on the other end began making assumptions about her husband's extramarital activities.

As Mikah explains in a hilarious thread, she thought she was texting her friend, simply asking, "Can I have ur opinion". From that, she soon realized that her friend had changed her number. But since the woman on the other end of the phone was so rude and overdramatic, Mikah decided to have a little fun and play a prank on her. I wonder if this marriage can survive!

Friends Lock Dude Out Of His Own Camper For The Night, He Leaves With His Camper

At an early age, most people learn that if it's not your ball, it's in your best interest to play fair. Cause if the kid whose ball it is decides that they don't want to play anymore, you can't either.

This guy's friend's wanted to use his camper to attend a spartan race. Since he didn't exactly want to relinquish the thing itself, he did the next best thing and drove them there. Then night comes and they decided that he can't sleep in there with them and refuse to let him in, resulting in him having to sleep in his truck. This dude figured that such behavior was uncalled for, and he remembered that the good deed of letting his friends use the camper could be revoked at any time. So he hitched that baby up and left. It seems like they forgot that they were sleeping in a borrowed camper.

Nosy Karen coworker files ridiculous HR complaint, woman gets perfectly petty revenge on her

Karen should have minded her own business! This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/pettyrevenge subreddit by
u/indigowulf, serves as another perfect example of the importance of standing up to Karens when they cross lines. Given that crossing lines is what Karens do best, this kind of revenge may be petty, but it's more than necessary.

In this case, Karen took issue with how the AC directly above her coworker affected the coworker's body/presentation. She complained to HR and accused the Redditor of not wearing a bra. After HR literally asked the original poster to "prove" she was wearing a bra (major red flag alert!), she got some much-needed revenge on Karen by filing a complaint of her own. The fallout was not necessarily as disgraceful for Karen as it could have been, but it was enough for her to quit of her own volition two weeks later.
