Quick Tumblr Thread About Dad's Silent Kindness

Poor dad is just trying to go around and spread the love and kindness, but every time he does so it inspires panic from the worried women in his house. Let's all just appreciate the dads out there that are trying their best, and unintentionally inspiring anxiety in their confused family members. Their hearts are in the right place.

1.

Text - margotkim So I came home from work today and there was a kindle addressed to me that | did not remember ordering. I spent the afternoon trying to figure out how I accidentally purchased a kindle from Amazon, and when I came back from hanging out with Catherine, I told my parents, guys, you will not believe what I accidentally ordered for myself. "Huh," said Dad very casually. "Did you get charged for it?" I spent the next five minutes checking my bank account and came back into the living

2.

Text - It was around the time that I started to sound panicked that Dad confessed to buying it for me ("I didn't realize the mystery of it would be so terrifying"). Which was very, very sweet and slightly unfortunate because yesterday I purchased a replacement kindle for myself. So anyway, we now have a family kindle margotkim Me and Mom were talking about the kindle this morning, and she told me about how a few weeks ago, she got into her car only to discover that it had been mysteriously clean

3.

Text - "But who would do this?" she said to my father who said he was sure he had no idea. "A student? A stranger? Someone who broke into my car to steal it but felt bad about how dirty it was? WHO??" Eventually Dad was like, “Honey. It was clearly me." Poor Dad just wants to be a man who expresses his love through silent actions, but his family consists of panicked, suspicious women who apparently are very sure that strangers will ominously do nice things for us Source:andhumanslovedstories 206

Blindfolded Man Gets Bungee Jump Pranked

The fact that this dude willingly accepted a bungee jump scenario, blindfolded, and put all that trust in his friends, is actually pretty beautiful. His mind must've melted in complete confusion when he hit the water.

Choosing Beggar Asks For Free Flyer Edit

Man, this choosing beggar came out waving the red flag from the start. You can just gather a sense that things aren't going to roll in a smooth and respectable manner, from that "introduction." And naturally, as choosing beggars do, this one couldn't handle the rejection. As is the case with all these choosing beggars, when confronted with the inevitable reality that their terms are grossly unrealistic, they just can't deal with it.

Check out more choosing beggars drama with these entitled folks and their unyielding demands.

Text - Text Message Saturday 6:01 PM Yo white girl OP Sunday 9:51 PM ?????? I need a big favor... Yesterday 6:53 AM I know

2.

Text - Hahaha how do you know and I didn't even ask you... My 1st book is complete! I just need you to re-edit a flyer you made a couple years ago. Nope I'm too busy for any of that, plus it's not like I have any of those project files still

3.

Text - What was that? It's only a couple words. I can send you that stuff again... Time for you to learn a new skill my dude. Go to and play around, it's an online tool where you can easily create graphics for any social media

4.

Text - Yesterday 5:23 PM Dude. I need you to edit one word, don't be so self righteous... No, l'd need to do the whole thing from scratch because I don't have the psd file. You don't be so lazy. Learn a new skill and get your problem solved in the process. Then you can stop asking me for this stuff every other month.

5.

Text - The person that pays $300,000 for a skill and everyone else is lazy... ??? that doesn't even make sense. I linked you to a free resource. If you don't take advantage of a free resource, you're the lazy one. I didn't even learn photoshop at school.

6.

Text - please, if you didn't go to school you wouldn't know how to do these things. You have a Bachelor's degree in a field and so do I I can email the thing to you and you can convert it... ..that's not how it works. That is how it works. We are taking about the context not the graphics

7.

Text - Please stop. You have no idea what you're talking about. I learned photoshop by watching hours of YouTube tutorials in my free time. You're ignorant dude. If you think you know how this works then you should just go ahead and do it yourself. You can't because you don't know how it works. Stop being prideful. Just learn a skill and you can do these things for yourself from now on.

8.

Text - You're selfish and self righteous dude. I can't even tell you how much free work l've done for you over the past years. I'm sorry if you feel like I'm selfish for finally saying no. Pretty astounding thing for you to say. Text Message

DNA Test Reveals Crazy Family Secret

DNA tests would seem to have a knack for shining the light of truth on well hidden family secrets. In this case, the revelation was just a bit devastating for the dad considered. To live all those years being told one thing, while another was true. Well, we don't know the full story, but at the very least, from this, it doesn't sound like it was easy.

1.

Text - r/tifu + Join u/wyczstarz • 2y TIFU by getting a DNA test and revealing a family secret M I've always been interested in doing one of those at- home kits that tell you your ethnicity estimates. My mother has, for many years, claimed that her own great-grandmother was completely Native American, and I recently learned that this is apparently something common for Southerners to claim, but that it is rarely true. I finally went ahead and bought one of the kits because there is nothing I enjo

2.

Text - Fast forward a few weeks. I get my results. I am 0% Native America, which isn't exactly shocking. The real surprise comes from the fact that I am also 0% Eastern European. This probably wouldn't mean much for most people, but I happen to be Polish. Or at least, I thought I was. I have an unpronounceable, very Polish last name. My great-grandparents were Polish-speaking immigrants. My paternal grandfather himself spoke Polish as a child. My first thought was that the test was a mistake. My

3.

Text - There were only two possible explanations: either my own dad was not my biological father, or my Polish grandfather was not the biological father of my dad. I look a lot like my father, so it seemed unlikely that we were not related. However, there was no strong family resemblance between my dad and his own father. In fact, my grandfather and many of his siblings had a (we'll call it) striking nose that my sister and I had often rejoiced in not inheriting. Also, my paternal grandparents h

4.

Text - My paternal grandfather died over ten years ago, but my paternal grandmother is still living and I gave her a call. It took a while for me to fully explain the DNA testing to her-she's 87, but we got there. She denied it and tried to explain the unexpected results with a long ramble about migrating European tribes before I was finally able to make her understand that I would be able to test relatives from the Polish side of the family and determine whether or not I was actually related to

5.

Text - So who is my actual paternal grandfather? TBD. My grandmother promised my sister that she will tell the two of everything when my sister gets into town for Christmas. She requested that we not tell anyone until then (it's too late, my sister already told everyone). TL;DR: Did an ethnicity test, found out my father was apparently the product of an extra-marital affair and never knew.

6.

Text - friend" that she had known even before my grandfather PG (to try and distinguish between the two men, I am going to refer to them as PG for Polish Grandpa and BG for Bio Grandpa). She and this friend maintained contact for years and years, all the way until both of their (second) spouses had died and they married each other. Their kids had grown up together even before they become step siblings as adults, and they are still part of my extended family as "aunts" and "uncles" even though BG

7.

Text - r/tifu + Join u/wyczstarz • 2y TIFUpdate: And the grandfather is.... M In my previous post, I said that my grandmother promised to tell all when my sister comes to town next week. Officially, that is still the plan, but my sister (who apparently missed her calling as a special prosecutor) got my grandmother to admit to her over the phone the story of what actually happened. And it is...interesting. Without going TOO much into my family history, when I first noticed the inconsistencies in

8.

Text - Telling this information to Grandma was what finally made her admit it--I was going to be matched as a cousin with my sister's best friend, who (although considered a part of my extended family) should have been of no biological relation to me. But here's where it gets a little confusing--my grandmother claims that PG was sterile as the result of something that happened to him in WW2. She says all three of her children are biologically from BG--but that it was all done intentionally throu

9.

Text - My dad and his siblings were born in the early 1950's. Does anyone know what the odds of this were? How common was artificial insemination back then? Would someone have really used a friend as a donor (more than three separate times--my grandmother had at least one miscarriage that I remember her telling me about at some point)? My grandmother has a known history of rewriting events in her favor. I guess it really does not matter at this point why BG was the father, but it is frustrating

Very Public Computer Errors

Everyone knows that electronics don't work perfectly all the time, but we don't expect them to not work in an official or commercial setting. It must be weird to have to say "well it looks like we should turn the road signs off and on again." Here are some excruciating moments of tech support gore for some more things not working as they should.

Confused Times People Forgot What They Were Holding

It's probably happened to you. You're holding two things with incredibly different purposes. Maybe it's a phone and a banana. You're on autopilot and prone to brain farts so you're not thinking. You take a bite and realize "oh crap I just bit my phone." Then you think that's funny and want to tell someone so you take your banana off its charger to text your friend. For some more mistakes here are some classic facepalm moments of dumbness.
