Wife Roasted For Telling Husband to Deal With Her Mother's Backhanded Comments

This wife took to the internet to see if she was in the wrong for telling her husband to deal with her mother's comments towards him and "hash things out" with her. The wife notes that her mother "is the one who usually starts" but that her husband "also escalates (sic) and refuses to let it go." Essentially, her mother is bullying her husband while he is vulnerable and trying to maintain peace at family events, and this wife is doing nothing to stand up for him.

Reddit users on Reddit's r/AITA (Am I the A--Hole) subreddit, where this thread was initially posted, were quick to point this out. They unhesitatingly pointed out that the wife and her mother were the problems. The mother for being nasty and picking on her husband and the wife herself for not standing up for him.

Dad Kicks Escort Sister Out After She Glorifies Her Profession to His Teen Daughter, Posts Heartwarming Update

This concerned father felt the need to inform his sister that she was no longer welcome to stay in his home after he overheard her glorifying her job as an escort to his teenage daughter. His sister explained that she just wanted to share her experiences but spare his daughter from the darker side of things but he felt that the stories she told were going to leave his daughter with the wrong impression. The situation is especially delicate since his daughter's aunt is her primary female role model since her mother has tragically passed away.

The father then returned with a heartwarming update, giving readers insight into how things had progressed since the original post.

This thread was originally posted to Reddit's r/AITA (Am I the A--Hole) with the title 'AITA for not letting my sister stay with us after how she explained her job to my 14 year old daughter?' The thread received a lot of feedback from readers who all suggested that the father, the author of the post, was not in the wrong for kicking his daughter out of the house.

"NTA," wrote Redditor Flaky_Tip, "Your daughter is at a vulnerable age, and your sister was telling her the kinds of things pimps and traffickers say to drag kids into a bad situation."

"I don't think your sister was being malicious but I do think she needs to be more careful about what she says to young girls about her (sic) chosen profession. Even if she doesn't want to admit it, sex work is dangerous."

Others noted how irresponsible the aunt was for framing her work in such a way for a young woman.

Ultimately, users felt that the sister should be allowed back if she was willing to sit down and lay things out straight for her niece and let her know some of the less-glamourous aspects of sex work.

That's essentially exactly what ended up happening. The father returned with an updated post to let readers know what the conclusion of the situation was.

Seller Posts Ad For The Most Red Truck, Painted Inside And Out

Okay, fine. They could have painted the windows. But still, it's hard a find a truck painted more red than this 1992 Cheyenne. Ever wanted to see what a truck looks like when you literally paint the whole thing red, inside and out? Don't you want to see what it's like driving around in a red blood cell? It could be fun to pick up chicks in such a spicy looking truck. It looks like it was made for the devil himself. C'mon, don't you wanna drop a few bucks and see how sticky a painted steering wheel feels on your hands? In the summer you could feel like your getting groceries in your own personal mobile version of hell.

And only 10,000 miles on this bad boy? Sounds like a pretty nice deal.

For some more intriguing junk that someone thought was a good idea, here are some DIY creations that went off the rails.

DIY Creations That Went Off The Rails

Sometimes you're sitting there, wondering what you're missing in life. And it dawns on you: "holy crackers, I don't own a single pair of pants made of dog hair!" And you ask around, trying to figure out how to buy a pair of genuine golden retrousers. After days of searching, you realize that you might have to make these godawful things yourself. So you wander around dog parks with meat, waiting for dogs to come up and sniff your fingers while you deftly collect their loose fur in a shoebox labelled "the good stuff."

After being chased off by what seems like a thousand legitimately concerned dog owners, you finally have your dog hair pants. You proudly wear them, making sure to push your heavy, crumbling, tanker truck dog ass into people's personal space on the bus, especially on hot days.

"Next, boxer shorts."

Here are some similar people with similar goals when it came to creating things that probably shouldn't be.

Weird And Dumb Ways Customers Tried To Solve Escape Rooms

Escape rooms aren't for everyone. While some of us appreciate the challenge of solving complex puzzles and using teamwork to overcome them, a lot of us look at a locked door and think "if I run at this door hard enough, I'm pretty sure I could burst through it like the Kool-Aid man." Sure, it defeats the whole purpose of the outing itself, but people still do it. Like, a lot.

An astounding number of people will try to get out of escape rooms by ripping doors from their hinges and sticking their fingers into lightbulb sockets. The thing is, they're technically not wrong. Damaging things and injuring yourself is a terrifically efficient way to escape an escape room. It doesn't really display a lot of puzzle-solving aptitude, but it does show your ability to think outside the box. And also your core strength. Here are some times people decided to make their own path through escape rooms.

Large Gal Buys Herself Second Seat on Flight For Comfort, Entitled Couple Decides It's Their's

A woman purchased herself an extra seat on her flight for her own comfort and security. She explains in her story that she is a fairly large gal and prefers using this method when she travels so that she can have a comfortable distance from other people.

This sounds like an excellent and polite consideration that speaks volumes of Redditor u/Tessy23's character. It's a shame that not everyone shares that consideration for others. For, it wasn't long before a couple on the flight decided that u/Tessy23's extra seat was prime for the taking. Without asking they helped themselves and squeezed in next to her and then proceeded to get triggered about the fact that she was encroaching on their space. Any attempts that she made to explain the situation were ignored and, as the situation escalated, it only got uglier.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AITA (Am I the A-Hole) subreddit by Redditor u/Tessy23, who told the story of her experience and appealed to readers to see whether or not she was in the wrong or shared part of the blame for the situation.

Commenters were unanimous in their advice and decision and expressed that u/Tessy23 shared absolutely no blame for the situation. The issue and blame fell squarely with the entitled couple for taking her extra seat.

That's a verdict that we wholeheartedly agree with, it's a shame that u/Tessy23 had to endure that experience.
