Therein lies the biggest risk with trying to do the "right" occasionally brutal thing outside the law: you don't know the whole story, and you're not taking the time to learn it. Instead, you're acting on volatile impulses, and subverting critical thinking for instant emotional justice. In this case, things spiraled out of control quickly. We hope the guy's okay!
