At 26 years young Australian woman, Holly Butcher, was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer that is most prevalent in young people.
At 27 years, quickly approaching her last day on this earth, she decided to write an open letter to everyone and anyone to help us gain some perspective on the crazy journey that is this life.
The whole letter is well worth a read and will probably change the way you approach your day.
"That's the thing about life, it is fragile, precious, unpredictable and each day is a gift, not a given right."
"If something is making you miserable, you do have the power to change it – in work or love or whatever it may be. Have the guts to change. You don't know how much time you've got on this earth so don't waste it being miserable."
-Holly Butcher

The time that immediately follows Christmas is one ripe for particularly testy, ridiculous, and outright crazy customer demands/refunds/etc. Thus was the case for a Costco down in L.A., when a crazy lady was trying to return her Christmas tree, cause it was "dead." Yep, her heart might be tinier than the Grinch himself. We can only imagine the cringe that must've ensued in the store when she dragged that sick puppy in.
