Honestly, the casting in this deepfaked American Harry Potter is pretty good. That Voldemort totally works, and Umbridge would be a nice addition. There's even a decent chance it could get non-fans into the franchise. Basically anyone could agree that Harry Potter would have nothing to lose with the inclusion of Steve Buscemi.
Shout out to this lady for the way that she handled confronting this guy who stole the dog. We're glad to see that the dognapper got justice served to him in timely fashion.
The Huntsman Spider can effortlessly make your skin crawl. This woman however is strikingly fearless. There are probably a fair amount of people out there that would deem their cars cursed, and never plan to set foot in them again after encountering a monstrous Huntsman Spider. But she's just chilling with the whole thing.
Sure, there's "takin' care of business," but the real law of everyday employment is "take care of literally just enough business to not get fired and hope no one notices." Some of us take this maxim to its extreme, and it results in some unprofessional "not my job" moments of failure. Sure, freeway lines are supposed to be straight but that's of little importance in the land of "not my job."
We live with more than a few cartoonish dangers in our world. There's loose monkeys, plants that only exist to inflict pain, and brain amoebas. There are cliffs, falling rocks, and every manner of potential electrocution. If not for these creepy signs that make their message clear, we'd be having that much harder a time. While terrifying signs are first and foremost helpful things, that doesn't mean they're not real spooky.
People encounter bad baby names all the time. And while people try to name their kids stuff out of movies and commercials for pain killers, going with a traditional name is still a person's choice. Again, that's not to say there aren't baby names people needed to be talked out of, but if it's unique in a way that isn't horrid or obscene, you might be alright.
Parents tell their kids some pretty absurd lies. And it's not even like that's something bad parents do. There are so many mild but weird things we were told that we just ended up believing. Sure, there was the classic "it's illegal to turn on the light in the car" but there was so much more than that. There were long lost cousins, jokes we just never got and impossible rules. Sure, kids are kind of stupid and weird, but this one was more on the parents.
Something is awry in this scenario. Of course, people should be encouraged to embrace whatever pet they've chosen to add to their home. Even if it's something atypical like a pet fox. But if you decide to roll with the fox for your pet, it sounds like you've got to go the extra mile to ensure that you're not carrying around that fox's stink with you wherever you go. Unfortunately, this employee assumed a defensive stance when she was called out.
Most people had a childhood that featured Legos. For millions of us, a birthday or Christmas saw Lego sets as a welcome sight. It's iconic, man. And the old sets had a certain mystique that makes for some hardcore nostalgia fuel. Yeah, there might not be any Bionicles in here, but there's some pretty cool space ships. Man oh man, some of the world's managers really never should've been put in the positions of power that they were in the first place. It sounds like Jeff was possessed by blind greed to such an extent that it was only a matter of time before he ended up engineering his own demise. I wonder how many moments Jeff had where he was up late at night, tossing and turning, soaked in sweat, bogged down by the burn of regret. It's like, he was the one who ultimately ended up complicating his own life. Money can cause all kinds of trouble. There's something hardwired into the human DNA that reacts when there's money flying around, that can end up manifesting in people doing some truly dumb stuff. Especially if you find yourself in a place in life where you're hurting real bad for some extra change. Or, maybe you get particularly lucky like some of these folks and end up being paid to do absolutely nothing. That corporate money is just stupid money.
This is just the kind of dump that'll probably really hit home for some folks out there. You might be a millennial who is still busy eating some of these foods that the kids of the younger generations don't even know about. The Hi-C Ecto Cooler looks just a little bit sketchy.
Sure, everyone has their off days, and sometimes people end up hitting breaking points where they just need a mental health day. That still doesn't excuse being a complete monster to another human being, who didn't do anything to you. It sounds like this manager had a whole lot of nasty business boiling underneath the surface. The reaction did absolutely not fit the "crime." Life happens. People are late. Plans are ever vulnerable to falling apart in a reality that by its very nature is completely spontaneous. So well, apparently, emojis can be a blind person's waking nightmare due to the "read text" function. Apparently, the phone describes each emoji in detail. This can make for quite the time-consuming process. Hopefully folks read this, and spare future conversations from the pains of emojis being vividly described. Live life for a little bit and it becomes pretty clear that the world is merciless. Pipes will explode, lasagnas will fall, and keys will get lost in the sewer.
