With the proper context, satire news websites are incredibly enjoyable sources of entertainment. But if you aren't inclined to get the joke, or just have no idea that what you're reading is supposed to be a joke, you can look pretty damn stupid. There are too many instances of times people didn't understand satire.

We've seen a whole lot of not fun facts that are scary and disappointing. Sure, they're inherently compelling, but it kind of starts to bring down your world view. These parents are the very definition of overprotective. They are really living up to that "helicopter parenting" stereotype. Some parents just seem to have a very hard time willing themselves to give their kids space, and not bombard them with spam texts all the time.

We've all been woo'd by a good commercial at some point in our lives. Especially when you're a kid, Nerf really makes it look like having a sweet blaster will make you the coolest kid on the street. We've all gone crazy at some point for those ads for laser tag games and frozen drink makers, and many of us never learn and keep making stupid purchases far into our adult years. That said, this isn't always our fault, sometimes products are straight up misleading and manipulative.

This guy found out someone had been using his account and charging his debit card, but then realized he had the ability to give the interloper a headache. Hopefully they have some Dutch DVDs to pass the time? It's rare, but sometimes people in these situations actually manage to get the upper hand, like this guy who hacked a scammer.
