Boyfriend Claims Nepotism, Wants Girlfriend to Quit Job So He Can Control Her, Wonders if He's Wrong

This boyfriend attempted to get his girlfriend to quit her job. See, she has been working for the same company that her father works for. The boyfriend thinks that she shouldn't be working with her family because "She shouldn't be relying on her family to get jobs" as "it's a bit weird." This, of course, has caused strife in the couple's relationship. Judging by the end of this guy's post it's pretty clear that she's likely more of an ex-girlfriend at this point.

For some reason, this guy is absolutely obsessed with getting his girlfriend to change jobs. In his since-deleted post, which reeks of a desire for control, he has reached for just about every thinly-veiled argument he could have possibly dreamt up for why she should leave her job.

The initial thread was posted to Reddit's r/AITA (Am I the A-Hole) by the since-deleted account, where the poster was lambasted by commenters who had a lot to say about the controlling nature of his post.

Before the original thread was deleted screenshots were posted to r/antiwork by Redditor u/lovingdestroyer who shared the screenshots in a thread titled "Anti-union guy can't believe his woman partner is qualified for her job."

This thread has also been getting bombarded on the worker's rights subreddit, with commenters pointing out the misogyny and concerning nature of the author's comments.

Scroll on to see screenshots of the two threads and the reactions below.
