There's nothing worse than going above and beyond what your job description requires and getting no recognition for it. Hold on, I take that back, let's revise… The only thing worse than getting no recognition for going above and beyond in your job is actually getting reprimanded for it.
That's exactly what happened to this janitor when they found themselves at odds with their micromanaging boss who was determined to find flaws in their work.
This thread was posted to Reddit's r/maliciouscompliance subreddit by Reddit user u/Breeder_Joey who shared their story on the popular sub. They shared their story with the title "'Try and stick to the planning and the correct methods.' Sure, I will." referencing the directive they received from their crappy boss.
Readers responded to the story in the comments.
"Never mess with the cleaning and service staff," responded Lylac_Krazy. "They generally know where, who, what, and when everything is. Toss in how it's done also. In every position I ever had, I always find THAT person and make good with them. Ever need to get into the supply closet? need to know the cleanest bathroom? Want to know the latest shit going down? Always know the custodian."
This person clearly works in the Sacred Heart Hospital from Scrubs and learned not to get on the wrong side of Janitor… I'll accept no other explanation.
