Basically, the OP did a lot of research on coffee, and kind of fell down a rabbit hole, leading to them purchasing an expensive new toy to make coffee with. But the OP clearly didn't do quite enough research, as they explain in the post below. They instead made a near-perfect cup of coffee, with a major caveat that the OP was completely unprepared for.

'Food delivery gone wrong:' Confusion with food order accidentally turns man into a thief

In New York City, when you order food, you get the call, text, or door buzz that says your delivery guy is there. Then you just go down, take the bag, say thanks, and walk away. No other exchange is needed or wanted—it's NYC, they don't have time to say hello and comment on the weather. So when this New Yorker got the message saying his food delivery guy was at the door, he went down and did just that—grabbed his food from the guy, said thanks, and left. 

Turns out, however, he was very much not grabbing his food order. He was grabbing the groceries of a neighbor who was waving at him from the door because he was locked out. This man stole his neighbor's groceries right out of his hands and then closed the door right back in his face. Before the accidental criminal realized what he had done, the damage was done and the neighbor was nowhere to be found. 

He had a few encounters again with the neighbor that were extremely awkward. But finally he got the courage to explain to him that he didn't mean to rob him, and we went back down to find him and he couldn't. Luckily, the neighbor was a good sport and they shared a laugh about it and are even friends now.

Not only did he suffer from the typical symptoms of a terrible boss (outbursts, over-exaggerated hissy-fits, etc.), but he also had a strange desire for his employees to call him weird nicknames. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/SubstantialTerm3843.

 

The nicknames ranged from Sir to Master to Darth (yikes all around), but the straw that really broke the camel's back for the Redditor was "Daddy Cool." When Horrible Boss decided to make that nickname a requirement, his employees pleaded that he reconsider, but Horrible Boss refused. So what did the original poster do? Well, he decided to comply, but only in a way that would humiliate their boss in front of customers.

Although the Redditor insists that his wife had no malicious intent, we should point out that 'Candace' is very much the name of an evil stepmother (sorry, I don't make the rules!). There's nothing quite like seeing someone out of line get completely roasted. In this case, that happened when this younger sister called her older sibling out on being kinder to her children than she was when the sister was younger. You can't disguise 'Stupid' as 'Not stupid'. It's simply not possible. So to sum it all up, I can't stand LinkedIn, and if you clicked on this post, the bets are out that you don't either. Sure, it's a great way to expand your social and professional network, find a job, and develop your career… yada yada… but it's also the perfect platform to read about others announcing how much better they are than you.
