'Imagine she said no after that': Ironman finisher collapses with leg cramps while proposing to his girlfriend right after a grueling race

Everyone wants to make their marriage proposal special. One triathlete and Ironman finisher definitely went the extra mile for his marriage proposal – 140 miles to be precise – and it unintentionally backfired, leaving the Internet in a tizzy of debate. This man completed an entire Ironman competition, which consists of a 2.4 mile swim then a 112 mile bike ride followed by a full marathon, while carrying an engagement ring with the intention of proposing to his girlfriend when she greeted him at the finish line. The idea is cute, if you're into that, but the whole plan went south when the athlete got down on one knee to pop the question. His legs seized up in the most insane cramp of all time and he collapsed in a heap at her feet, writhing in pain instead of with happiness. He grimaced and pushed through as trainers helped ease the cramp and he held the ring up towards her from a laying position, grimacing the whole time.

The comment section went off with debate; Some people thought it was adorable that he persevered to propose to her anyways while others considered it self centered of him to make the whole experience all about him. On one hand, he had the audacity to carry along an engagement ring with him on this ridiculous Ironman journey and also had the tenacity to push through the world's worst cramping to propose anyways. But others argued that he made the proposal all about himself and turned the attention to his accomplishments. Was this a romantic moment captured on video? Or is this an epic marriage proposal fail? Crazy Karen went for a joyride and then freaked out when the police were called. Well, honey, it makes sense that people called the police on you because you literally kept saying you were only a few minutes away while a full two hours had passed. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/F***YouKaren subreddit by u/iluvbewbies, who shared the entire play-by-play after discovering that the valet attendant at their hotel had mistakenly swapped their rental car for Karen's.

 

First of all, let's get it out of the way that Karen was not only entitled, but also she was stupid. Their models may have been similar, but it was clearly not her car. Second of all, the fact that she went on to run errands after being notified that she was driving the wrong car says a lot about where her priorities lie (hint hint: herself). On top of that, she left an apple core in the rental car. Filthy!

The tattoo artist was kind of feeling sorry for the youngest because nobody was validating her fear of getting her first tattoo, until on of the girl's friends told her she will be fine because she literally just have birth without an epidural a few months ago. When the tattoo artist heard that she knew it was going to be a breeze because moms handle pain the best out of all of her clients.

This guy prepped for an interview for weeks, but it still didn't go perfectly!

Interview prep involves a few things: printing out a few copies of your resume, mapping out how to get to the job site, and preparing your interview clothes so you make a great first impression. This woman shared her frustrating experience with her job-searching boyfriend, who didn't quite get around to the clothing step of preparation. Instead, he tried to get his lucky blazer cleaned on a regular laundry day by his student GF, who routinely handles that chore. He didn't give her much warning though, and she ended up sleeping through the time period she could have laundered the blazer. The BF was mad, and has threatened to move back with his parents. 

Commenters urged the GF to leave this man-child, but others claimed this was an ESH situation. After all, if the GF didn't think she could handle the blazer laundering before the deadline, she should have said so. But also, the BF is seemingly not pulling his weight while unemployed, and letting his busy GF handle even these time sensitive errands. Commenters agreed that she should dump him ASAP.

Wholesome Children's ICU Nurse With a Hardcore Mohawk Draws New Designs in His Hair Everyday to Entertain His Kiddo Patients

Critical care units at the hospital can be a bleak place, but one post-punk ICU nurse has one way to keep everyone smiling: his elaborate mohawk. I think it's safe to assume here that this guy did not, in fact, get the job… but—hey, job interviews are stressful experiences, and each of us handles that stress in different ways. I, personally, make it through a job interview by completely blacking out from the stress and dissociating from my body; I couldn't tell you what happens in the time that follows, what I say or do—or even who I become is completely unknown to me. 

Now, I wouldn't recommend this strategy for coping with interview stress. Still, it is probably superior to shouting down the receptionist of the place you're interviewing because they asked you for simple identification. It's safe to say that if this is how you react to a simple request, you will be an absolute nightmare to work with.

She explains a story about how a male friend of hers (James) used to be pretty overweight and decided to make a lifestyle change that resulted in him becoming physically fit and apparently very attractive, which is great for him! However, Blue couldn't stand the idea of having her clingy DUFF turned into the hot piece at every social gathering so she had to nock him down a notch because she is a total narcissist. 

At a party, a tipsy cute girl approached James and started acting flirty with him, but realized soon after that Blue was standing and staring at her with a snarky look on her face. The tipsy girl asked if the two of them were together, a respectful thing to do considering she was trying to make a move on the man), and Blue became the biggest jerk and let her inner mean girl fly loose. 

Blue laughed and joked that the tipsy girl would never have dreamed of asking them that a year ago when James was still fat.

The fat-shaming mean girl basically implied that her friend, someone she apparently cared about, wasn't worthy of being loved or dated before he was considerably more in shape, hot, and attractive. Naturally, Redddit destroyed Blue in the comments, claiming that she was a huge AH and was extremely toxic for James, especially now that he is turning his life around. It really doesn't pay to be a huge jerk in situations, especially when it means steamrolling your friends for an ounce of attention towards yourself. Conceited, rude, and clearly jealous.

These veterinary students had had enough. They decided to 'teach the school a lesson', by complying with the written rules, rather than the unspoken agreement every class actually seems to have.

This guy has got to be one of the dumbest cheaters ever! Not that we support cheating of any kind, but the fact that it did not cross this dude's mind at all that syncing his photos with his fiancé's phone would mean that his many photos with another woman would reveal themselves is baffling to us. This proves our firm stance that the only thing dumber than cheating is sloppy cheating.

The Redditor came across the photos himself as he was doing his job but tried to signal to the guy that it wasn't a good idea to sync all of them right now. The guy, impatient and snobby, assumed that the Redditor simply didn't want to do his job and insisted that the photos be synced immediately. Cue malicious compliance!

This person who worked at a steak and seafood restaurant had to deal with the crankiest and most entitled of customers. As the OP shared to r/TalesFromYourServer, some people just do not know how to be kind to service workers. 

The writer, u/RedTailFox1957, shared this story from their time as a waiter. They had lots of regulars who were nice, but there was the odd person who would be extra demanding throughout their meal. One story that clearly stuck with the waiter was this one guy they simply called the "grumpy old man" (GOM). He and his wife came in to order some scallops, but the GOM was very, very displeased with his meal. He let out a verbal tirade on this poor waiter — I can't believe the waiter didn't burst into tears right then and there! The other customers actually sided with the OP though, after seeing how terribly the GOM was treating this worker. 

Next, bite into another food story. This guy ordered a sandwich just the way he thought he wanted it, with EXTRA ONION… so the employees just did exactly as he asked.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/EntitledPeople subreddit by u/SeveralMarionberry42, who shared that many years ago, she was working in a fast-food restaurant and was forced to confront an entitled male customer about their "no smoking" rule. Stomaching the courage to confront someone way older than you to enforce a rule is hard enough. The fact that this guy continued to refuse to follow the rules and kept smoking anyway says quite a bit about his level of entitlement, his inability to follow the rules, and his condescension (probably as a result of the age dynamic). For me, this is not about the smoking. It's about this guy's refusal to take the Redditor seriously and his active choice to give her a hard time.

'I found this highly inappropriate': Disney Karen complains that park is losing its magic over cast member's 'smart comment'

New internet rule just dropped: If you have to ask if you were the Karen in a situation, you definitely were. This particular woman was even being a Karen at the "happiest place on Earth," Disney! 

You can tell this person is familiar with the parks, hence the sense of entitlement she has over controlling 100% of her park experience. "Please tell me I wasn't being a Karen. Yesterday my husband and I went to the Studios…" her note begins. Some commenters were cracking up at her casual reference to Disney's Hollywood Studios, where the ride she got upset about is located. 

For this Karen, it was too much for a cast member to be polite. Heaven forbid they break the immersion of the park with some tiny amount of chatting! If this tiny little 5-second interaction had this much of a hold on her, I don't want to know what she's like the rest of the time when she's not at a theme park.

When you think of the ultimate tailgate party, you probably imagine a bit of fanfare, winning team glory, strangely plated snack displays, and of course, copious amount of alcohol. Drinking beer is an important staple for any football franchise and has become ingrained in the culture of the game, inspiring sports fans to binge from start to finish. One football fan, a die-hard Montana State University student, created the ultimate beer-toting mega keg, combining unusual drunken desires, innovation, and taxidermy. Jess Pottenger, a Montana local man, was tired of simply pouring beers from a can or doing traditional keg stands. At his tailgates, he wanted to stand out from the other groups. Using a deer he hunted during the fall season, he created a taxidermied buck that dispenses beer straight from its nether-region and in doing so, he built the most epic beer keg (or should I say "deer keg")! 

Jess has received tons of notoriety from his deer keg. With a spout for a rear end, this deer is certainly the talk of the town and has quickly become a statement piece at every event. Who knew that a simple woodland deer would age into what can only be described as a small town novelty hero. It really makes you wonder, does beer taste better when it comes from somewhere special? According to Jess and his tailgating buddies, the beer that flows through the deer tastes almost as sweet as an MSU victory.

You can't be picky and complain about prices. That's too much Karen energy for one body. And it's certainly too much Karen energy for a restaurant worker to have to deal with during a busy shift. But alas, that's exactly what happened to u/wastingtimaway, who shared this thread on Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit. 

 

Here's how it all went down. Karen asked for two quesadillas that were gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, basically all the things. Of course, we sympathize with folks who have dietary restrictions; that's not the issue here. The issue was that the Redditor anticipated that if they rang up the order as two quesadillas, it would still be $24 despite the missing ingredients. They tried to help the customer out by asking if she wanted a lettuce wrap instead or something else that would be more bang for her buck, so to speak. Nope! She was insistent that she wanted the two quesadillas her way and was particularly rude about it. So you can imagine her shock when she saw that the price hadn't changed. Our opinion? This was 100% picky Karen's fault.
