‘You know, the policy YOU created when you got called out by Head Office for not properly handling my scheduled early shift’ : New Boss Loses Her Own Petty Game Following Employee's Malicious Compliance


At one point or another, the higher-ups in a workplace decide they need a regime change and a lot of the time the switch in authority isn't a good one. The new boss marches in, wanting to prove themselves, and thinks that the best way to do that is to address small things that don't actually matter instead of focusing on the bigger picture.

u/DepartmentLarge9472 took to r/maliciouscompliance to share their own personal story of the time they decided to play along with their new boss's power trip. At the time they worked as a food receiver in a retirement home kitchen, and had a great former boss, along with a system that worked. Obviously, that didn't last, because as soon as this new manager took 'control', she made sure to nag everyone as much as possible, handing out written warnings here and there, making everyone's life a bother.
